Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse in Ophthalmology…

Upper level management needs to do a real good cleaning up of those that are not working and are simply never leaving the house.

upper level management needs to clean up its own house, the field has been battling these headwinds since August. Yes, there are a few laggards out there who hide behind fake calls and yet somehow win Regen. Cup because of who they kiss up to.
 








Anyone hear of restructuring? It’s very quiet out here and these upcoming meetings seem like a great time to announce territory changes?


Should be a top priority, too many reps in a market where one/territory is all that is needed, especially if the message is the same. The Susserman experiment is over. If the real numbers in the next two quarters show slower uptake of HD than expected by end of the year, a restructure is a wise idea. I’d also guess there are a number of reps (in non PE markets) getting their resumes updated.
 




Exactly what has happened with ophthalmology. Apply a primary care mentality that every patient will be better served on Eylea HD. The sales force is treated like we don’t have any idea how our practices operate or what financial challenges they’re facing. Practices are getting tired of the brow beating about uptake. Oh yeah, don’t forget about how cheap we are for IC and contests

So what directors (field managers) need to go? Ours is an idiot. I’ve been here a short while and this guy needs a primary care participation trophy for tall bald dorks. He came from a competitor and now I think the joke is on us. God help us all.
 
















The morale here is awful. My ask is to give us our own territories so accountability is 100% mine. Everyone on my team is absolutely miserable! Every call is a bitch session. Half the people don’t work because who cares? I’ve been here long enough … starting to pursue other options.

Does anyone on the DEM management team ever look at those reps and see if they are actually working and making calls and not putting in fake calls. How about contacting the high volume doctors and seeing if they have even seen their DEM rep or even know who that person is? I’d bet it would be an eye opener. Do the managers ever look at the fact that the reps are probably taking them to the same people over and over.
Its shameful.

It’s too bad that PW and that fool GD drove the morale of this place into the ground! Now GD is gone and PW is moving to Dupi to bully them with her primary care mentality.
Don’t be surprised if ZS is involved very soon with a close examination of territories and reps. Some will be downsized.
