Congratulations on your Sunday afternoon offer. First off, you are full of shit. Secondly, there is nothing to celebrate. These jobs are available everyday, everywhere, to everyone. Only the dumb will accept. Some of us have learned the hard way. Even with warning.

Your attempt at some sort of negative comment back to me makes no sense whatsoever. What is it about getting and accepting an offer that is "full of shit"? And why are you calling me names (only the dumb will accept)?
I'm an experienced pharma professional and knew 2 other candidates also applying for the job. I'm sorry but they are absolutely NOT available everyday, everywhere, to everyone".

You have some really foul attitude and have the misgiven need to try to slam the good fortune of others.

Ok, If this is real tell us more about your offer.
1. Who is the parent company?
2. What drugs?
3. Is your DM inventiv or direct with parent compnay?
4. What is the duration of the contract? (supposedly)
5. What is your starting base?
6. What is the target bonus?
7. When do you start?
8. Is this a backfill or new position.

I wrote the original post and I am not the person supplying those responses. I assure you my offer is solid and I start soon but there is no way I'm posting those kinds of details on CP. While the GSK poster may also be real, that appears to be an entry level position and not what I have been hired for.
You can question the legitimacy of my post all you want. I really couldn't care less. I simply wanted to share some good news with real people on here.

We (I) am asking these questions because I am an displaced Ventiv rep and would like to know if this could be an opportunity for others in other territories. These questions are not invasive. No one is asking who you are or where your territory is or any info that can be traced back to you. Don't post here if you are not willing to share follow-up questions.

Why would that be odd? What difference would it make? She called and offered and I accepted. I had been lais off by big pharma and am very excited about this territory and company. I actually start home study Monday !!

Congrats on the offer...Nice to start something new and have a job in this economy..BUT for all your enthusiasm please take a moment to think what you'll do when this contract ends or is cut short with Zero severance pay at a moments notice...Ask yourself why didn't they recruit a displaced inVentiv rep for this spot (I know your SuperRep, the only possible one in the universe that could handle this particular job). Good to have a paycheck but don't plan on making a career here.

I know it blows but it is a little cash until i can get a real job with a little respect.

I didn't write that last comment about a little case or a real job with respect. This IS a real job and I will get good respect because of who I am and how I present myself and my products. I explained early on that the pay is within $5K of my base so it is not a little money.

And as for the dolt that keeps asking the list of 8 questions trying to identify me; wake up dumb ass.I answered 1 of them. I start Monday (tomorrow). All of my training materials have already arrived, they are delivering my company car in the morning etc.

This is a GOOD opportunity through inVentiv. So to the poster asking what I will do when the contract ends (IF it ends): If I don't join the contract company, I'll be in good standing and work with inVentiv to quickly find another position. What did my last company offer me? Severance? Big Deal! Who wouldn't rather have another job over severance?

And I can't explain why a previous inVentiv person didn't get the job instead of me. Maybe there wasn't one. Or possibly I was the better rep. I have no way of knowing that answer. I'm good, but I never claimed to be a superrep.

You guys whining about salary, etc. must not work for inVentiv and are just trying to bash the company.

I work in HR at ventiv. It's Easter, and since no one working here will say anything good I guess I have to.

I have not experienced one true professional the whole time I have worked on my contract. A bunch of cheese-balls.

As opposed to what; "true professionals" in regular pharma? Get a grip, dude. The pharma industry, contract or front-line, is about as "professional" and "respected" as a corner prostitute. This is just a douchebag profession, and you need to quit deluding yourself into thinking otherwise.

I've been on a contract with Inventiv for almost 3 years. I have nothing to complain about...I make 65k + bonus. Obviously I would like to make more, but considering how terrible the job market out there is I consider myself pretty lucky...I am assuming that the negative people posting here are the ones that do not have a job and also could not get one with Inventiv....

You are not a true ventiv rep because no one and I mean no one likes it. Everyrep on my team hates it. You are right it is a bad market, but we should not be embarrassed to tell people what we do. Temp, contract does suck and I will be the first to say I am embarrassed. And by the way I got my job with inventiv in 2 weeks. No one else called, no one. Everyone I know here had no problem getting theirs either. You are delusional. Our jobs suck and we are paid like ******s.
