Don't know who you are referring to, but high standards is not how it gets done. Mostly someone high up being your supporter. That is usually how it goes, especially for more coveted positions.

I've looked for a shred of intelligent conversation on these boards and I see none on CP. Just drama and vague hints coming from anonymous sources.
It would be helpful if all Eisai employees realized we're in the same damn boat and would stop degrading each other here though.
The board is full of drama because the company events are nothing but drama, all work seems always like a fire drill or another. Have you ever seen anything well executed? It's seat of the pants half baked stuff and they make it up along the way. Poor management, poor leadersip, poor execution so no wonder people feel ebarrassed about themselves for being trapped in this place but feel they have no choice. Ask your peers-for most it's a paycheck only.
Yes I agree with the poster above. No one is safe. Let's support each other no matter what gender, race, age we are during this time. This isn't good for anyone. And hopefully the person who is putting that woman down in the management program is only saying these things because he is scared like the rest of us. This is not easy and I am not sleeping well. It's effecting my health. No ones fault but my own so I need to go see a doctor. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen. I'm sure some of it is not going to be fair in our eyes, but there is nothing we can do about it. So get a plan B but first start with attitudes so you can interview well out there. I wish everyone a great plan if they are being let go.
