June return?

















How much longer will Merck allow Chronic Care Reps to do basically nothing?? I can’t believe Management is allowing this to go on. Very few Doctors are allowing you into their offices, and everyone knows it. Maybe you get to talk to someone on the phone, do some online video chat, but that’s about it.
Management doesn’t want the gravy train to end so everyone is staying quite. Time to turn over Chronic Care over to the remote engagement team and eliminate the entire Chronic Care team. From the top through Marketing to the bottom. GONE!!!
 








As a stock holder....not just in MRK...I find it infuriating that you all are just at home doing webex/zoom/Teams meetings every day but not actually selling. Ok, maybe you actually did get some calls from a few offices over the last weeks. But, If you can’t sell- hey it’s not your fault - then you need to be downsized, salary adjusted, layed off, something! ....Until you can. If you can. The dynamics of your customer interactions will be forever changed. I don’t care what division you’re in! Merck is literally wasting stockholders money by keeping everyone in place, when NOTHING will be the same after. Very poor decision that more investors should know about.


yeah , but us reps love it. 3 months vacation so far and going into 4-5 months. I could get used to working rom home> I fake a few zoom meetings , I tell the nurse to leave the computer open for at least 20 min on the web site even if no one is even 20 feet close. Then I give a glowing review to my stupid DM and team. I get recognized by the region for leadership and sales effort and going the extra mile. !!
I love it. I want to see if we can have a years worth of at home work , its the best and no loss of income. Only problem is the bonus is less which we have complained about the unfairness.
 




Why would you need to fake anything?? Management doesn’t care what your doing, because they aren’t doing anything either. No field visit with Reps, maybe get on a remote lunches with rep, brainstorm and attend teleconferences with other managers, cut the grass at noon, paint the kids room.

That’s true Rep Lives do matter. If you want to keep this job then stop posting on this message board. I’m sure people read this garbage about faking stuff, and that doesn’t help us get through this situation. I want to be standing on the other side of this mess. Let’s just do the best we can and hope Merck continues to be the the company that leads the way.
 




Lets be realistic, have you looked at the sales numbers for the last 3 months with no reps? They are equal or better in some cases than when reps were “working”. Fact is many reps WILL NOT be returning, easy Project Fortify cost savings.

Yes, we do . But the company will never do the best. They will start with the layoff. WHite males first will be laid off because that is the political climate. Blacks and women will be the last to be let go. Any white male over 40 and even worse 50s, you are gone. And you will never find good work in pharma again. Most companies are hiring women 90% of the time just like pharmacy and other fields.
