Looks like the notice covers those associates impacted by t4g who have been given a 1/28 termination date
A sacred Novartis holiday tradition, it has to be probably 12 out of the last 15 years or something like that they had year-end layoffs. At least they had the decency to lay me off in the Spring!
I dont know how it CANT be ophtha - MSLs and TLLs gone. VSS team getting cut in half, new placements start Feb 1. A push for the field to get email addresses for all T1 & T2 staff by end of Jan, for what? So the 10 person VSS team can continue to call on our most important customers until they sell Xiidra? I say the whole eye care team is gone 1/28. Just stinks they are hiring for new territories just to keep up appearances...
The TLL’s were barely doing anything and the VSS team was so misused. Good people on both teams but what did they really contribute?
Not sure how much either team actually contributed. But the bottom line is, Novartis has sent the message to all our providers, they are not committed to eye care. Oh and, Bloomberg reported the company’s interest in finding a buyer. So either way, I’m convinced the WARN filing is for eye care.
A 285 number is too much for eye care. There are 179 reps in the field. They'd have to be laying off everyone in the division including field and corp.
That number is 3 warns combined for novartis:
Services-4
Pharma-221
Corporation-60
179 in field, plus ABL, RD’s, VSS, and headquarters adds up for Optha, but who knows.
that warn is a combined 3 different warnings from novartis: the number for the pharma division is 221, which fits Optha like a glove…
Isnt the purpose of warn to “warn” people of layoffs? So hypothetically if it was eye care reps wouldn’t we know already if the date is 1/28 or would they pay us the warn period and then start severance?
Keep your mouth off respiratory, if you don’t know, then why would anyone tell you? We will all enjoy being spared any more of your incessant blathering or future speculation from someone that obviously doesn’t know anything.
Each State has its own WARN notification process. 6200 more employees will be impacted.

pretty sure the field is considered “remote” out of New Jersey, so our warn would be from there.
As if not admitting the total number of respiratory employees would prevent you from facing the inevitable. Xolair and Xiidra are being sold. Accept it.
