Really with Telaprevir

Telaprevir is the main reason doctors are waiting again

From Zenith at AASLD
The most common adverse events were diarrhea (50%), rash (37%), nausea and itching (both 30%), and fatigue (24%

Nobody wants 37% rash but there is hope for you.I think they are studying
VX 222 with TMC 435 but its 2 years behind everything else

I posted the above and they do not let you edit your posts.
the statement

" Telaprevir is the main reason doctors are waiting again"

Actually interferon is the reason doctors are waiting and
i realize your current drug has doubled the SVR rate

Also we dont know exactly how mild the side effects were in Zenith.

I still think your best bet is VX 222 with TMC 435

I did not post here to be a negative Nancy .

This last post is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Telaprevir will never be used again. Period. The anemia and the potential deadly rash is enough reason. Don't think you people telling everyone that only two people died will convince people. We know many more have died. And your smawt company trialed all their drugs with that "killer" product.

The kool aid drinking fool who posted above is trying to control the potential mass exodus.

Face it, there is no reason to ever use such a drug. People continued to treat with interferon. As a matter of fact for 2/3 they still are. Telap is the problem despite what the above cheerleader said.

Huh??? 80% cured for 12 weeks of triple therapy. The market leader at 80% marketshare.

To the person continuing to highlight the ~50% TRx share. When 1 product is 12 weeks in duration and the other is 24, 32, or 44 weeks; the TRx share is inflated. It's not rocket science.

A 50% share for victrelis actually means they get less than a quarter of the patients.

Merck can't figure that out! They never will. They do their math with crayons. Hilarious that they are passing out Incivek PI's on their calls. I've asked the offices if they are discussing their own update from November and their Merck rep DENIED any changes! The office printed the Victrelis PI and confronted the lying rep and kicked the rep out of the office for pure unprofessionalism!
