Janssen Specialty Cardiology Contract

There are currently 130 positions listed on the company website for the Cardiology Specialty Rep (not counting the 10-12 Vacancy Coverage spots). That's down from over 200 listed last week, so the decreased number of territories seems to be accurately reflected. Mine is still listed, but I haven't received a call back like the above poster. I feel a little better knowing the contract has been pushed back and that the call may still come, but who knows. Gotta wait and see.

A no call is not too much to ask.

Anyone have info on the status of this? Wave 2 start? Car or allowance? How many call/day? Base salary range? Location of training?

I have not heard anything after F2F with manager so I'm not overly hopeful...

Just curious... How were you scheduled for the F2F, participated in the F2F, yet not have the answers to the questions you've asked above?

I can confirm the above. Had interview with recruiter last week, with F2F interview scheduled for this Tuesday. Cluster interviews May 16-20th is Dallas/Newark/LA. Home Study 6/6-7/8, Home Office 7/11-7/15.

Further update on the Jannsen/Xeralto project hiring...Cluster Interviews now moved back further to June. Not sure why. Those who have done F2F interviews over the past few weeks should know this and not give up hope. As well, maybe some of the competition might not be available after having wait another 45+ days for Quintiles/Jannsen to make decisions. I know I have another opportunity pending that I may be receiving an offer soon, so I may or may not be around.

Are you saying that those who had a F2F interview during the 2nd/3rd week of April may still hear back regarding the Cluster Interviews, (which are now scheduled for June)? Seems like they'd want to contact those they plan to send forward, rather than lose those candidates to other opportunities and have to begin 1st F2F interviews again. Wouldn't look good for Q if they didn't have available candidates ready for each spot when these Cluster interviews finally occur. Anyway, thanks for the update. Any reason given for the change in timeline this time?

Wow, this is turning into a giant cluster-fuck. Who is dropping the ball? The lack of stability makes me incredibly nervous for the future of this contract, even with how solid the partnership has been thus far.

Exactly what I was thinking. You have to wonder what the underlying issue is that continues to delay the start date? The contract expansion was originally meant to "increase share of voice in the field" since Eliquis is doing well. With 70 of the original expansion territories dropped prior to the start date, and an additional delay, my assumption is that Janssen is unsure of something. I can't help thinking it has something to do with the new info out on the Rocket AF trial and it's questionable results.

I know there is mileage reimbursement but is there a gas card included??? I'm coming from many years of a company car and I'm trying to figure out how this whole mileage thing works?? Any help?? If you have a city territory and don't drive that much how are you going to make enough in mileage to cover car payment, insurance, maintenance etc.. Each month?? I feel like I would be losing money??? What is average reps reimbursement for mileage each month??

To the last poster, I came from traditional pharma and had the gas card/car. The mileage works out great, depends on how big your territory is. You get .54 per business mile. I'm averaging over 1000 a month back, I budget it for insurance, oil changes etc, still come out a few hundred ahead.

I think the reimbursement is now .57 per mile, not that it's a huge difference, but that's what I was told from the recruiter. Works out well, as the previous poster mentioned.

Seems the last word on this contract was that Cluster interviews were delayed until June. Has anyone heard from a recruiter about a timeline for when candidates could expect to be called if they're being brought back to attend those final interviews?

I got a call yesterday that wave 2 is now on hold until early fall 2016. Said they would call when they get the green light to see if I was still interested, LOL

Seems unlikely that the positions would still be listed on the Quintiles Career web site if wave 2 were on hold for that long. Quintiles typically removes positions when contracts are going thru significant delays... reposting them when there is a viable contract in need of candidates. When the wave 2 expansion was downsized by close to half the territories, the affected positions were quickly removed. Not disputing what you say you were told, just saying it doesn't mesh with how Q typically handles their contract postings. Unless they all disappear tomorrow, I'll reserve judgment.

The positions are bring taken off the website. Down to 117, from 130, just today.
