J&J Contract Dead?

Why would they pull a contract this quickly? This really doesn't make sense to me. I have heard directly from Quintiles that the contract is still on, but maybe not at 400 reps. Has anyone else heard this?

For all intent and purposed J&J was probably led to believe that the indication would go through but it DID NOT; the panel voted NO. I'm curious how unanymous that decision was. Off to google..

spoke w/Q manager after the news this a.m. contract is still on. Said the FDA just needs more data to support the indication. quit posting BS on here if u don't have your facts straight.

thsi guy is talking shit...the contract is not dead...i just spoke with the q manager an hour ago...they are hiring in 2 phases....sept. 19th and sept. 26th confirmed..the q manager wouldn't talk shit...we know each other outside work...this guy probably just didn't get hired so he's lashing out by providing false info...which i don't blame you...i'd be pissed too....it's tough...everyone's trying to eat...everyone still has a shot even if you didn't get a call back.....i suggest contacting the q manager directly....every good rep should already be doing this anyway...but i;ll share my secrets

So you have a crystal ball that tells you on Tuesday what will happen on Thursday. And you speak of the vote in the past tense. Bravo. Perhaps you can use that skill to figure out lottery numbers ahead of time.

For the record, you jumped the gun. The Advisory Committee meeting isn't until Thursday. It's not unreasonable to expect that they WILL vote down SPAF for Xarelto, but you're fear mongering and wrong to say it's already happened.

Administration staff Committe, Advisory Committee it's all semantics at this point.

Any way you want to slice this up and sugar coat it the gig is toast.

For what its worth my Q manager says they plan on moving forward with hiring based on the initial indication. Even prior to announcement, the candidates have yet to meet with any Janssen managers. I guess our region is the last wave.

Wow, you mean to tell me that Janssen is still doing interviews? That is good news but obviously there will be a delay in the start date of Sept. 19th.

For what it is worth, I just got a long email from my Quintiles manager going over all the training dates etc. and that Janssen is going over all the territories this week. I was informed that I would hear something on Monday the 12th and was asked if I still needed to give a two weeks notice. Either they are really dragging this out and hoping for the best on thursday with the FDA or maybe Janssen will still move forward or maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part.

Thought I would share what info I had!

I just interviewed with a Janssen Manager today and asked them point blank if the lack of AF indication for Xalerto will affect the contract with equities. they stated that they still have two equally weighted products to promote and need that share of voice

Also just interviewed, and asked them point blank, and said Nucynta ER is brand new, so they that makes a difference I guess. ER not even in pharmacies yet.

Contract is not dead yet. J&J needs soldiers, as some territories are deficient, hardly having any Jansen reps.

The contract may get reduced to certain territories, my best guess.

Until tommorow.

I got the same information too - here in the west. I am being positive myself. If a FDA indication is delayed, it will soon happen, as they generally do.
