Ivan Tornos

And this is how alcohol will ruin your life ladies and gentleman.
Good point! Maybe this leadership is drinking a lot! I mean that would at least make sense as to their poor decisions. To take that much risk with patient safety after all the legal trouble maybe they are drinking too much. To open their shareholders to such risk and all the dedicated employees that do their job around the world? It’s unexplainable on any level and seems to be a pattern of corruption. I mean is “Rico” possible here it’s being used against Trump in Georgia? Hmm I wonder?

Why aren’t you calling out actual names? That’s the only way anyone gonna care about your non stop whining, is if you actually name people that could potentially be held accountable. Until then absolutely NOTHING will come of your time here, rather pointless just to be actually honest. If you really cared about patients you would be dropping names of EVERYONE that was complicit and failed you in your actions.

Pretty sure if our government bodies wanted to hold this place accountable it would. Seems they may not want all the skeletons out of the closet.

You can love the guy or hate the guy but dont come here anonymously to make such disparaging remarks. He is a great human being, the hardest working guy in the organization, and the farthest thing from a racist or anti-semitic. I have witnessed the guy do amazing things for others without even being asked. And nope, he would never be that damn dumb to make a bad anti-semitic joke like that. You dont make it to his level being that stupid. Did you know he is 44-45? But I guess you sleep better insulting people who you dont like because they make you work. Let me guess, you are probably very successful.

What an absolutely insane post Ivan…

At some point IT will disappoint me, but right now all that I can say is that I have nothing but respect for him. He is caring, committed, hard working, and about the team. He loves it here in Warsaw and doesn't embarrass ZB. Im good.

Sounds like someone’s trying to avoid the next round of layoffs.

Been here for far longer than you. Happy to take the bet. Layoffs are never going to go away. Period. Had them with Dvorak, had them with Binder, had them with Elliott, had them with Hanson, and we will have them with Tornos. Welcome to reality. Only the great D Miller spared them because the company was private and he owned it.

Sadly you are right.

Welp, for as long as you’ve supposedly “been here,” your analysis needs some work. That, or you clearly don’t understand what’s happening. ZB is a mature, pure-play ortho company, and we’re not growing—at least not like Stryker and some of the newer competitors. Mgmt loves to talk about technology and sell this story to the street, but it’s laughable. We are a metal and plastic company (ie, a commodity). So what options do you have when your growth is relatively flat and you your asp’s are eroding? You cut your spend—the biggest of which is headcount. This was rare at Biomet b/c Biomet was growing. Dane was great. No argument here, but he never had to seriously consider these types of cuts. It’s not that he was this warm and fuzzy person who would never fire anyone. Biomet was a rocket ship with tremendous growth, so why on earth would there ever have been any routine layoffs? The Bryan’s and Ivan’s of the world are professional managers, not visionaries like Dane. They bring nothing to, and add no real value to the business. All they do is “manage” earnings.

Actually, Biomet was a public company for most of Dane's tenure. Also, Dane only had about 2% ownership in Biomet. Nevertheless, Dane cared about his Team Members greatly and was a great human being on all levels. The world lost the best of the nest when he passed away...
