Bullshit, and if it were true then the financial markets for Lilly would be collapsing since AZ brings the kiss of death to everything they touch. At best it would be a merger with Lilly's leadership team taking over every position putting AZ people out in the cold faster than a jack rabbit on a date. Lilly is a first class operation that wouldn't touch the AZ culture with a ten foot pole.
 




Before you believe this or any other merger talk, ask yourself these questions. Why would any company want AZ? What would it bring to the marriage?

The reasons AZ cannot survive as an independent company are the same reasons no other company would want it.

This could only happen as a hostile takeover. Lilly would never tolerate the culture of AZ or any of its current leadership. This would be an extremely bad mix unless they fired everyone at AZ from RSD and above. The toxic culture of AZ runs very deep and is not going to change without a total house cleaning.

This leadership culture is so caustic now that they are too busy backstabbing each other to worry about any of us. Honesty, integrity, empathy, teamwork, ... they are all just hollow words that get thrown around like mall music. They don't exist at any level now within AZ thanks to the top down micro management style and the rank and yank mentality that is supposed to build character and performance. It didn't work at GE and it won't work here.
Just take a look at who rose to the highest level of leadership within GE and the performance of the company during the peak of this culture. GE stock ranks in the bottom 3% performers in their category over the past 10 years. Sound familiar.
 




You guys are idiots. Do the math...Lilly's market cap is $45billion and Astrzeneca is $58billion. For Lilly's board to even consider a sale after being around for over 130 years they would want at least a 30% premium making a sale of $58billion which is what Astrazeneca is worth, meaning ASTRAZENECA CANNOT AFFORD TO BY LILLY. Take an economics or better yet a simple math course and know what you are talking about before posting such absurd things on Cafe Pharma IDIOT....
