It's not Novo, it's not the DCAs... it's you.

In the spirit of full disclosure, fair and balance ya know, I'll say upfront that I don't work for Novo. I'm an AZ guy, but I bounce around to a lot of the boards because I like to keep up on other companies. So, again upfront this is a troll post.

I've read in quite a few posts that Novo has "devalued" you guys with all of the changes in the past few years. Not quite. From an outside perspective, they "over valued" you all for a long time. That's not a bad thing, these companies should treat all of us well. The sales force brings in the money. Novo is the one company that year after year had it right with Christmas presents, great trips, good bonuses and high salaries. Here's the problem, you all believed that you were special because of that. Here's the news flash, all that stuff must have been awesome but you are not. Not elite. Not superior. Just reps like the rest of us that happened to land a good gig.

So you are spoiled. A lot of you guys are making six figure salaries just to drop samples... just like the rest of the industry. A lot of you guys have solid relationships in endo offices, umm yeah. Bringing in Panera year after year will do that. You also have great products, that doesn't hurt either. Sadly, you all let it go to your heads. Why do I say that? Look at the posts here. There is a thread first bashing the company for not sending out the regular Christmas present on time, and then another one complaining about what you ended up getting. Lol. Every other thread is blaming the new reps that are coming on board, disrespecting them when they deserve a job as much as you do.

I have kids, I hear the whining and it's all too familiar. You are babies who did not realize how good you had it. If it's over, that's a shame because I would have loved to have gotten a piece of it. For those of you that did, be humble and appreciate it for what it was and for God's sake, please try and keep that ego in check. The real world doesn't hand out t-ball trophies and participation ribbons. How deliciously sad.

Well said and true.

And, of course, it's also very true that there's a worldwide diabetes pandemic going on, which simply means that Novo is at the right place at the right time with their products.

Response to both previous comments. From retired employee. Comments r true. Novo is in the right place, time, products. But through the rapid expansion of the last, even 10 yrs.- are here today with a lot of wrong people!

In the 5 boros and long island they were far from great . We were in the toilet until Emblem kicked Lantus off formulary. They would still be in the toilet otherwise.

Pfizer used to have a superior attitudes. Mercy also. They both in the toilet now. Both companies treat they people like shirt.

Novo is heading down the same track. ¿Right?

hahaha

Thank you for the honest and unfortunate truth. I've been at Nni for over 10 years after major failures at a large pharma and a very small biotech. Nni had been a refuge. However, with the loss of the key HR leadership and the start of an austere president, the company has lost its vibrancy and generosity. More importantly with the continued growth, we have struggled with growing pains which have resulted in a surplus of administrators and middlemen without conviction or courage to make the right decisions. So now I feel quite burdened with the decision to leave. Stay with what I believe is an inevitably stagnant behemoth or leave with the risky prospect of finding like minded committed people who just want to be productive and not simply report and administrate. It seems you've been going around the message boards, I'm curious to see if you had any recommendations on any smaller companies focused on growing and begin productive.

Funny thing is those two SAEs in the NY area and BOPA beating their chests, taking credit for something they had next to little to do with. Lantus got kicked off because of something Sanoflea did (or more exactly, didn't do). Period.

What do you think Dorothy? Do you think you need to have more meetings? #ursuchadouchemanager

As a competitor, I have to agree with most of this. You guys work for a good company. The reps I know from Novo are pretty solid people. A few have been extremely unethical, but that can be found anywhere.

Avandia was a bad drug and got pulled.

Insulin isn't going anywhere. It's been around since 1920.

This message makes me sick. Note that the receptionist says the lunch is for sale in the subject line. It was sent to approximately 50 reps that call on the office.
Subject: Lunch for Sale

> Lunch on Monday, 1/16/2015 is available! Let me know if you want it. There
will be 29 employees in the office. That number includes 6 doctors, Dr. Kocian
will be out. Lunch arrival should be no later than 11:30 AM. This appointment
runs from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. It is important that the appointment last no
longer than 1:00 PM as our doctors begin seeing patient again and another rep
comes in shortly thereafter. Thanks everyone!

If it makes you sick, you need to punch every company's executive leadership in the head. WE did this to them, not the other way 'round. As a 25 year vet with my 2nd company, I can tell you that the senior reps in my first district told me the dirty details at how this attitude came to be. in many parts of the country, doctors advertise that free lunch (and leftovers) can be expected every day.
