Did you get the word
The worst part of this entire deal is that there will be plenty of dogshit reps retained. I hope I am not for the sanity.

What about Matt Muller? He's a real piece of work....

Maybe some, but not all. Most of the people who have been here for 5+ years came here for different reasons than the newer reps. We came here for the best bonuses in the industry, not being micromanaged with excessive metrics, and having autonomy in our territories. Did we promote off label? Yes, because we were instructed to do so by our area and regional managers. I, for one, stick to the labeled indications now and I think that's a good thing. However, the more ethical sales management team ushered in numerous policies that took the magic out of Cephalon. I am done and have been for awhile, but I am still driving sales. Newer people might be more apt to take a new job, but those of us who have more years here are hanging on until the end because we will get more severence. So don't throw stones. The word lazy does not even begin to describe many here at Ceph. The worst ones by far are the reps that have been here for 5+ years with little to no success and still believe that they are entitled. News flash, you have not performed, and will be fired at Teva if you survive anyway. Then you are done, without a severence. There are too many here that do not deserve these jobs.

I'm sure a lot of people who don't get severence will quit after it all shakes out, but Teva agreed to pay severence to anyone laid off within two years after the merger. Wouldn't firing someone during that time open them up to litigation?
Not after their manager puts them on a performance plan. This is exactly the comical point, Cephalon reps now think they are protected for 2 years. Bad reps will be fired in a very timely manner beginning next January.
I am done and have been for awhile, but I am still driving sales.
As a rep that has watched some of my peers abuse the system, I truly hope that does happen.
you all give ceph and teva way too much credit. They are not sitting on the answers and keeping them from the sales force. They dont know what the hell they are doing. They dont know the answers to the endless problems at cephalon. Teva is unearthing these problems and have no idea what to do. The big wigs all have different answers and are battling each other. They are deciding things, second guessin themselves, and doing 180s every other day.
it is a $hitshow. Teva is a bit of a $hitshow themselves and they just merged with the biggest $hitshow in the pharma industry.
good luck to all of you but keep in mind that the leaders of these companies know a hair more than your do as to how the merger will shake out. Crazy to hear but its true. I am in these meetings, what I write is true, I witness astounding incompetance everyday here at Ceph/teva. Scary.
Since people are changing their minds daily
Can I submit this into the suggestion box
Let people have the opportunity to opt out and receive severance
Leadership made their money in sale and most were new to the company and had no part in the early significant growth stages(should be very happy with outcome) of business and these are the same individuals who are in leadership positions when merger is complete
That's fine but we are not looking for a golden parachute just reasonable package which is peanuts to teva
Many of us can see the big picture and when rems is complete for fentora and provigil is generic my intuition is that a witch hunt for the sales force will begin
This is a glass house
By giving people the option to opt out many will take it and there will be limited exposure to litigation
Another advantage is that you can bring people in at the new market value
