I'm a former Alkermes employee and very grateful to be out. I would ask with all sincerity and respect to my former colleagues there...is this the best you can do with your life?
You work in a moribund toxic company full of cliquish favoritism, where "groupthink" is rewarded and is considered being part of the team, while and creativity and individuality is viewed as suspect. It is a place where mediocrity flourishes and abject failure is tolerated as long as those engaged in mediocrity and failure say the right thing to and about the boss. It is a place where a well-reasoned opinion based in fact is viewed as "contrarian" if it goes against the company dogma. It is soul crushing to watch, day after day, and see these clue-free, one-dimensional, amoral, automatons flourish.

And I have been in sales for 25 years. They are all toxic. The exception would be if you have a manager that is a close friend, that can take the BS for you, while you "rep on".
The Managers at this company at cream of the crop ask them, they will tell you, they serve the master the All Mighty Todd! They do not serve the people that work for them it’s all about their justification of existence!

Please steer your children into more productive careers, like MD, Nurse, Teaching, etc. I wasted about 20 plus years, selling for these pigs. Very sad. I am disappointed that others didn't help me when I was in my teens and early 20s, but the game has changed so much since then. Micro-management and lack of respect is far too common. The worse is that top performers are treated like crap. Add the restructuring, every year, it seems, and you have total nightmare. Glad I retired recently, though, and don't have to endure this anymore.

The anger is not healthy, you should see a councelor but don’t let the leadership know they will exploit your anger and frustration into termination. The really sad and pathetic thing about most of the gender confused women is most of them missed their child bearing years and thank god they will all die alone because they are heartless.
