Hmmmm let's think about that! Oh, is the Pope Catholic, do bears crap in the woods.... need I say more! This division is so lost I mean really do we still need all the reps we still have? I don't want to lose my job and if there is going to be another lay off then they should have just set us all out to pasture at one time! I'm not sure how hard any one is working anymore 'cause they are all worried about still losing their jobs!
 






Very true, we need a moral boost or something? Everyone is waiting for the other shoe to fall and the second round of layoffs hit, heard September!!

Meanwhile, we are hearing how Bristol Myers gave all of their oncology reps an extra $5000 each on their base salary due to the company doing so well, genentech getting a choice of an upgraded car/SUV or car allowance, Celgene bonuses over 60K per rep, and Seattle Genetics offering 160K bases and 40K stock options at sign on, etc...... Wonder why all the good reps leave Novartis? what is Novartis doing to help moral of salespeople in the field, lets see, firing reps, cutting funds, taking away everything that is not nailed down, charging us $95 a month for a car, etc..... Its time to move on, this place is the worst!!!
 
























The three VP's have no clue about Oncology and it really shows.
We should all be looking for a new jobs!
These clowns are taking us down a path of total distruction.
 






For me the good weighs the bad. When that changes I'll go do something else. I'm 40 by the way and don't know very many people my age making $125k and working 20 hours a week.

They don't care about their in-house people either.

Self serving management working to justify their positions and next promotions. Few actually working on oncology drug development and clinical studies, most working on 'process improvement' and 'initiatives'. What does having 50 steps to complete a simple form have to do with treating and curing cancer.......?????? NOTHING!!!!!!

and don't forget people like tray-see. no talent, no experience and placed in a position where they supervise others. amaing what some zs nepotism can accomplish
 






Novartis Oncology is a training ground for bigger and better things. It is Oncology-Lite!! Most stay for a couple years, make great relationships with customers, develop great product knowledge, and take their talents to other companies that pay more and treat them with respect. Novartis does not hire from within and no-one gets promoted. In fact, I just heard they just picked a mass marked RD to manage Florida over well qualified oncology reps who have been in the management training program and managers for over 20 years oncology experience. Its a gold ol boy network and will always be!!
 






This place sucks!!! So many good reps are giving their notice now. When is Novartis going to wake up and change the upper management who are seriously destroying Novartis Oncology?? Can't wait until the Sales Meeting. How are they going to try to make us think Novartis is a positive place. They will throw you under the bus without a second thought. Once Zometa goes next year say bye bye to half the sales force. I never saw a company who does not give a crap about relationships built by reps over the years as they change almost every territory so that we all build new relationships. That is messed up!!!
 






Remember, this is a mass market company, always was, and always will be. Don't think because you are in Oncology you will be treated any different. Get your experience and move on to Biotech!! That is where the money and respect is, not Novartis where all the promotions are given to people outside of Novartis. The MDP is to prepare you to be a manager with another company!!! This is Novartis, not Celgene or Seattle Genetics!!
 






Wow!! We are getting iPads, yeahhhh!! Not!!! Wake up, Genentech and all the other biotech companies have had these for years. Way to wake up Novartis and at least get into 2000, we are still using Blackberries!! Surprised we are not using the Startacs and Razor phones!! This place is ass backwards and always 2 years behind!! We are still using Dinosaur laptops and Lotus Notes, really??? We are the joke of the industry!!
 






Yes, we are getting ipads. Not for fun but for presentations and sales calls. Big Brotha is watching you and calculating every move you make on that thing. Christi, if you think this is going to pump up morale after your debacle...you are WRONG!
