Is it worth interviewing?

Why is a West Virginia territory open? The recruiter said it was bc the rep moved into management but after reading these posts I'm not sure I believe that. Thanks.

I knew the guy, seemed nice enough but last time I talked with him
He was just annoyed with micromanagement, call panels that were worthless and took another job. But that was a month ago or so, definitely not management move. Hate when recruiters pull that shit!

I was in this guys new hire training class and knew him, probably left because his numbers were terrible. nice enough guy though

Yeah I was curious about that too. I wanted to see I it was his numbers or something else. He was Ranked 6th with megace, middle of the pack for nascobal and zuplenz, but was sucking up oravig. Still doesn't sound like it was just numbers.

News flash.... If his numbers were like the above poster says the guy was in the top 5 in the company. Everyone and look in the mirror and tell me different- sucks with ORAVIG!!! It isnt us. It is the worst product ever. If you have 5 RX's a week consistently YOU ARE THE SHIT!!! Whoever formulated the sales projections behind this product should be shot! OH! Wait that would be the new CEO! What a terrible decision! Won't last and those of us who have been here awhile know what is coming. I'm the king of the world!!!!!!!! Oh shit is that water!

his numbers were not top 5 in the company... actually was ranked 47/61 for total portfolio ranking. that is the definition of shitty.

In reality a 61 person sales force is pretty shitty........Let's keep it real.

Well that ranking is just for team 1, not the whole company. Overall he would be right around 50% ranking. Not horrible, not great. I know he was tearing up Megace but was WAY down at the bottom for Oravig. Basically, he was an average rep about 100/200 "total reps" that was having success with one product (Megace) and getting his a$$ handed to him with another (Oravig). Portfolio rankings can be a little deceiving still it doesn't look like it was numbers based.

Boy that is the truth. Another small pharma dog. Though with the industry and unemployment the way it is... is this a place to get by for awhile?

Do you use doctor data or pharmacy data? Do you currently employed feel that the data they give you is an accurate reflection of your performance?
can you make any money here? Car? benefits?

By "way down at the bottom" what do mean? Because I think we would agree that 9/10 of the company could be classified as "way down at the bottom" with Oravig.
