Is BMS really all that different from other big pharma companies?

A lot of you have spent your careers only working for BMS and it shows. Yes, Be-A-Mess is in a league of its own with grossly incompetent leadership, cultural rot, and some of the lowest IQ employees in the pharma industry. I would call it a Mickey Mouse Operation, but frankly that would be an insult to Mickey Mouse.

These layoffs will not end, it will only get worse from here as the company shrinks further. There is no possible way to make up for the loss of sales from Opdivo and Eliquis once generics enter. The golden goose is soon to be gone. Any semi-competent person still hitching their career to this place is in for a rude awakening, both financially and professionally.

if you think BMS is unlike any other company you’d be correct. In what universe would underperforming underwhelming types such as Boerner, Lerch, Rowinski, Mangene, Black Lung et al continue to be employed and even rewarded as they are? This is a cult I’d self importance and impotence. These people couldn’t find a padded wall in psych ward. Throw in Lanciotti for good measure. He’s so much more than ineffective, he’s also a douche
Throw in the CMO here too. Arrogant clueless guy with zero EQ. Knows everything better and lectures everyone. But every failure is blamed on others…

Normal sh*t talking aside, is BMS really all that bad compared to other big companies? If yes, how so? Seems posts on here are not just negative, but downright toxic for the most part.
Very similar but slightly less talented people. It reminds me of Wyeth before they got bought by Pfizer. Wyeth wasn’t really a science company either. They manage by narrative and have a few assets. If it works for you then that is all that matters. People seem cool, management is a bit odd.

"Slightly less talented people" - lmao. a massive understatement for this group of clowns
