Is Astellas really that bad of a company?

Astellas are about to be thrown out of UK ABPI for telling blatant lies. Their EMEA president is a disgusting piece of shit. They deserve everything they throw at them. HR need to be replaced top to bottom. Jail time would also be good. How long are we going to let them get away with falsifying records. The biggest problem is the oncology franchise, corrupt through and through.
I will laugh so hard when first one is convicted and jailed.

So true my friend. They need to be investigated by the police for that. I have no doubt more heads will roll. I agree with you about Their European GM, he has so much to worry about now.

i am shocked that I see no news of Astellas buy out of my company, Ocata (OCAT), a stem cell company with many important patents. Ocaa's CC was held the morning of 9th Nov 2015,
that evening Ocata announced that Astellas has tendered a lousy 8.50/ sh. The shareholders are up in arms, ready to sue the management, they were expecting that eventually Ocata would be curing 100s of diseases and be worth billions.
Seems both companies are run crooks.

It is really not bad especially if you enjoy rumours, sabotage, full blown bullying which is systemic across the organization. And some employees jobs, careers and health are threatened. Otherwise it is a great place to work and wins many awards.

Where is all the posts about our boy db? Truth hurts doesn't it big boy? Got bullied as a child and now is taking it out on all 'beneath' him. A coward through and through.

Karma isn't your friend Davey!

Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one, a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away… to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. …Hmm? On what he was doing

ASTELLAS is a dictatorship. As long as you do not question/challenge the system and or your boss, and follow everything they tell you, then you are fine. Remember, this is a Japanese company and therefore a Japanese culture.
Go watch WWII documentaries about Japanese soldiers and the way they followed their superiors/masters until their death and if they challenged them, they were shot on the spot. Well, you can expect a similar attitude and culture in Astellas.
Other clear and obvious difference is lack of seeing minorities in Sr. Leadership. And by minority I mean seeing qualified, hard working African Americans, Latinos.
What Astellas has done, similar to some other Japanese companies is to satisfy their quota by hiring mostly unqualified females trying to satisfy EEOC.
So, if you are white, can follow orders, not question or challenge your boss and the system and can just follow and take orders well then this is a right place for you BUT if you can actually think and question then you are not welcome here!

This board sounds like a 'pity party' for sure. Would like to see the common link between all posters. OK, safe bet is that no one here has a consistent record of success in their entire career. 'Not me America' mentality going on for sure.

Go to work everyday, know your business inside and out, and over time you will achieve success. Oh yea, going to work everyday is not in your vocabulary. Bitch on losers........

Right. Come on... Get off your high!
Exactly! I was hired becauseof my track record of success and multiple awards. I go to work every day and hustle but it's tough to get ahead when the goals keep going up and up and up while others, especiall those at the top have their goals lowered. It's the most confusing system I have ever seen. And with forced rankings, someone will always be on the bottom, even if they are 100+% to goal
