Ironshore pride

I cross-searched IQVIA, Ironshore, ADHD sales specialist etc. to try to gather who else I’ll be joining in AZ. Counted exactly 2 ADHD Sales Specialists (out of 370 new hires) and about 20 DSMs(20/37). 3 friends of mine have not yet updated their info and even the local dsm still has the D-list company that canned them as current job. I suspect some folks are waiting til the 11th hour for something better, but generally people (me included) gleefully announce a new position ASAP. Not here. Nothing says “I’m so exited about my new______!” like not even mentioning it. I predict massive launch vacancies and spotty uptake due to resignations.

4 ppl were hired in my area that could possibly justify 1...maaaaaybe 2. DSMs should probably just bring machetes to ride-alongs. You may not have to be the fastest swimmer, but you had better not be the slowest.

who would announce this to anyone? the pay was ridiculously low, no car, you have to pay 50.00 for the gas card for personal use, car allowance is taxed,
it’s a contract gig, and me too drug, what is there to announce???

Besides myself, I know two others hired for this contract. Personally, I've stopped interviewing (NOT on moral grounds, I just needed to catch my breath). The others are interviewing like crazy. These are not flakey, flighty airheads. One says she'd only leave for any non-contract, or lots more $$(her offer was $86k). She likes her proposed tiny territory. The other dude will prob take anything. It's not very scientific, but is this the general mindset among us?

Seriously, why the big issue with paying $50 monthly for unlimited gas? The majority of reps are still coming out ahead especially as gas prices climb. I took a quick weekend trip and spent $85 on gas just between Friday to today. I'll gladly pay the $50 for personal use of the gas card.

On a similar note where have you ever worked that didn't tax a car allowance or use of a company vehicle? It's considered part of one's income and thus taxed. The only thing you can get untaxed is HSA account deductions and retirement deductions - pretty much everything else considered income or benefit is taxed. And the tax on bonus/commissions is insanely high!!!

Have you ever even worked as a rep? Don't be so bitter about being passed over for somone who actually has experience and doesn't still need Momma to dress them and explain the basics of working life

You don't put a job on your LinkedIn if you're not receiving a paycheck, or haven't even reached your start date which is May 20th. A lot of people still have to get official notice they passed the background checks. What's the hurry to put it on LinkedIn, like anyone is going to notice or care?

I would keep interviewing up until the start date. Anything can happen. It's good to have a back up plan.

Because that's how us "rent a reps" roll. We know we are the B Team, but just damn glad to be working again. Or at least for the next 6 months until this gig turns over again!

I do not update LinkedIn until after training is complete and also after first paycheck. And if still have other scheduled interviews that I still plan to attend, no way would I be updating it until I'm sure I'm staying. CSOs may not be great but then again, not much is pharma is very secure and company culture can change overnight is sales drop.

Your great DSM and you now work for another company trying to launch an over hyped product, that is what is wrong. Enjoy it for the little time you will have.

Unfortunately, 6 months to 1 year at best before territories are cut in half. Whoever planned the small territories was thinking it was 1999 and nothing in the industry or access has changed.

Small territory, dog product, no access, minimal budgets, and micromanaged.

Your clearly a troll of some sort. My territory isn't small, its actually larger than it has been with my last positions.

The product is really good and the reception in the offices has been shocking. I admit I wasn't overly confident about how it would be received and expected it to be like every other launch, they half listen and go on their merry way. However, the doctors and nurses all stop and want to learn about Jornay. Many have already read articles about it and have been looking for it. It has a place and the scripts are already coming through.

If you consider unlimited budget small well then sure, your right . I have at least 4 lunches a week scheduled through August. And will be having at least 3 speaker programs in my territory. Even 20 years ago before pharma code I've never had an unlimited budget.

This is the least micromanaged company I've worked for. No reach & frequency requirements. Freedom to manage out own territories & business. No ridiculous busy work reports. Just be ab adult get out and sell.
