What is ridiculous is the number of lazy and inept people that work at this sinking ship.
I am not using company property to block the GPS signal just a jammer. When they call me about not getting a signal then I will have confirmed their tracking of me and will take the next steps necessary.
No idiot...I think what the poster was trying to say is that a jammer would be interfering with company property!

If you tape a 6x6 inch square of aluminum foil to the back of your iPad it scrambles the GPS signal on airwatch. Seriously. It works.

this entire thread is ridiculous. No one in home office is devising ways to watch you. The jammed GPS story is not true; fleet doesn't monitor this stuff. There is not a master plan to sit around and monitor your every move. Home office has enough work to do because of management, layers of management and having to manage up, and politics. IT with its federated model is a mess and they don't have the capacity or desire to watch what you are doing. Plus what you probably don't realize is that Shire's hasn't kept up its IT environment and can't really even appropriately support mobile devices and Ipads, why do you think a 3r party is involved? For other groups to "watch you"--USCO has too much other minutia to watch what you are doing, nor do they care. They just want to keep their heads down and get their jobs done quietly...don't call attention to yourself in that group. And marketing has no time because they are running around making too many sales materials. So exactly who do you think it watching you? Because home office most certainly are not. Just enjoy your IPad for what it is.

However, the majority of us reps are not stupid. Common sense will tell anyone that we are nowhere close to a large sales force. In fact, we are almost microscopic. It would be very easy for management to track us. Also, it would be a cute little game for some of the evil bastards too.

If they wanted to track you- the fleet vehicle would be much easier dont you think? And it would have been done forever, and we would have heard about it from someone that got let go because of that.
Sure the airwatch may have the ability to track you- so do many other programs. They could have done this in our laptops. YOU have already said that they did it when they gave us ITouches years ago. Have you heard of ONE person being let go for that reason?
Why install airwatch? Its so that apps and updates can be automatically loaded/downloaded from your ipad because idiots like you never synch like we are supposed to.

There are many ways they can track the usage of your iPad, no different than your laptop, but until they tell you that you must always keep it with you and have the GPS turned on they aren't tracking "you".

Line your suits in tin foil. I look like I'm wearing a poorly crafted Camelot Knight Halloween costume but I am safe from GPS. I have my ipad wrapped in foil too. Has to be Reynolds brand not that generic crap. It has worked so far. Seriously. Do it.
This post is so silly, you don't have to wrap your whole body in tin foil. Everyone knows GPS signal flows through the genitalia. A pair of tin foil underwear and you are good to go.
