does anyone else see a problem in the "new" update for IPA? I know there's gonna be some devils advocate on here but this was the biggest slap in the face in my opinion. "Hey Jimmy (RDs voice), you need to figure out how to get these docs on the board". "Susie (reps voice), they are going through samples and copay cards regularly and I can't figure out why they aren't showing up". Oops.... Looky there! They have been writing and I never got credit hmm. And now some of writers are now showing less or no scripts at all. WTF!! I know this a public place to rant but somebody needs to give a really good explanation! Don't give me we're great and the people are great stories.

I've been a rep since with Supernus since day one, I've been kicked, shoved, jerked around, lied to, laughed at, asked to do more with less, and spit on by corporate and middle management since day one. I have never been this disgusted though, this takes the cake. Sticking around for my retention and then I'm gone.

What a drama queen. So let me see if I understand: you have been here getting abused in every way since the beginning but done nothing about it for 3 years- if that's true you're a dumbass. Now you have decided to take action and do something about it but your retention bonus is too big to walk today- if that's true then things can't be all that bad and you're full of shit.
Sounds to me like the best case scenario makes you a dumbass that's full of shit. Don't let the door hit you in the ass dumbass

If you are even complaining about this you are a dumb dumb poo poo!
It's not complaining when it directly affects "your" business. It's more like, bring the issue to the table (get it on the table) and explain the disconnect. You wouldn't wanna work 40 hours a week but then only get paid for 20 hours would you? the company doesn't get paid off of what is reported by pharmacies, the reps do.

That's a good point

The IPA data we get is from Mosiac that contracts with thousands of pharmacies in the US. Every year Mosaic negotiates or renews there contracts with pharmacies. Sometimes pharmacies don't renew or don't want to give out there data for various reasons. A big pharmacy that you won't get credit for is Walmart, they don't give out data. If you see your numbers slip or samples are going out the door and no data, chances are it's because there going to a pharmacy that doesn't report aka you won't get paid. You get a bonus at the end of the quarter not a commission check. Bonus is extra money that doesn't have certain rules to be paid out while the term commission is you get paid for every single dollar you sell. This is known throughout the pharma world. I will pray for you every night that you are smarter than this and that pharma is not the peak of your sales career. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

This last poster hit the nail right on the head. It's a bonus and structured as such, it's not guaranteed by the company and many other companies structure their comp plan accordingly. The quarterly bonus plan you accept explains this. The fact that they are so lais sez-faire is far more troubling. While some reps have done very well, others are struggling for any number of reasons. At a minimum, the reps should all be on the same team about such inconsistencies, and there are a lot of them at Supernus.

"Pharma standards" are the same as my standards. Pay me what I worked for. I'm aware of the differences between a commission vs a bonus, but you made it clear with this "vendor change" reps are getting yanked around. Now you wanna say that this is pharma standards!?!?! Get outta here. There's no reason Performers should be in the same bucket as a non performers. There's a difference between the 2 and I'm sure you're smart enough to figure that out. Pharma standards are deceiving and greedy. I should expect no less with Supernus after this slap in the face. We're not incompetent individuals who came from enterprise.

Can you explain exactly how the vendor change is screwing reps. Not being sarcastic. I just didn't see much difference in my personal numbers. Same writers and same amount of scripts. Or at least nothing so drastic that I could tell.

Personally I have 4 docs that show scripts from the past 13 weeks that I've never seen write before. Also I have 2 docs that have gone from the high 20s in scripts to 5 and 8 individually for the past month.

I have several physicians that were posting decent monthly numbers and now show almost half of what was previously posted; that's for Trokendi XR. OXR is a sensitive product as it is and some of those scripts aren't showing up like they were. Be glad you didn't get hit by any major changes. I know it's not a perfect system but hopefully they find a way to correct this.

The audacity that Supernus has by still not reviewing this with the field. Home office and management are nothing but cowards!! Plenty of time at POAs this week for them to discuss, I bet its not even in their module. The only thing we will hear is the spin on how fewer prescriptions is actually better for the reps lol. Most likely they will try to skip by without bringing it up. Its a good thing these cowards aren't carrying the bag in the field, after their first objection from a doctor they would hide in their car all year.

Bottom line, Supernus has a "take it or leave mentality" for anything pertaining to the reps in the field.

So since the vendor change certain physicians numbers have changed and the few of you on this thread AUTOMATICALLY assert that this is some plan to screw us field reps in a take it or leave it approach? Really? What if I told you that EVERY vendor that collects prescription data recently made changes to more accurately reflect what docs ACTUALLY write and THAT is what resulted in the discrepancy? Not some conspiracy theory concoted by and carried out by folks st the home office. What would you idiots say if you found out that that was actually the truth? Because it is

Oh thanks for explaining that to us. Now it makes sense why they inflated my starting market share from the mid 9s to 16% for oxtellar xr. The fact is this change in data really screwed a lot of reps. They can try to twist the truth whatever way they want but the fact is they are trying to figure out ways to make us work harder without paying us more so they can get the other drugs through phase 2 and 3.

What a genius statement. I guess us little idiotic reps just don't understand good business from bad business. Good business would have came out immediately stating what might happen during the vendor change and the company is in process of making it right. Instead, bad business just did the switch with no explanation. The only information we received was a email about a vendor change and "BOTTOM LINE, BUSINESS AS USUAL". I guess we are idiots for thinking something may be a bit shady. Why has nobody officially addressed this if it's no big thing or is this just pharma standards?

You are a moron. Please place both hands around your neck and squeeze as you are merely wasting air that intelligent people could be using

No the moron would be the one who does not see what is clearly happening but I digress. It's funny how my main 3 docs have been inflated for the months of October November and December by about 23%. Where were these scripts before? Like when it could have helped my bonus?

You're probably still in the teens and 20s for weekly RX's. Could be a reason you didn't see any drastic changes.

Translation: how dare you not be as irrational and outraged as me!?! If you aren't willing to join my conspiracy party and anonymously rip your leadership then I will attack you too!
Lol. What a fake tough guy you are
