The southeast region is notorious for having great reps and great management. The only area in the country that is not led by fear. You're lucky to be in the southeast....too bad the rest of the company isn't like that...

that was obviously sarcastic, the Southeast has gone from the best region to the 2nd worst behind the Northeast. both are still old school and ruled by fear. attritiion is way higher in these regions. Most of the good people in this company are in the South Central and West.

When you get assigned to a region, how big will be the scope of a CSR? Like how many hospitals to cover? Who will I be working with?

It seems scary to work at Intuitive but exciting in a way.
 






100% correct. most of the VP's now only have 3 direct reports (ASD's and CSD's) who in turn have only 3-4 direct reports. There is definitely 1 layer of management that does not need to be there. As for the CSM position, they have no voice whatsoever as it relates to making decisions. Their role is to do 3 day field rides and fill out those reports and hammer the flavor of the week from their CSM call with their CSD, which was a result of the CSD calls with the CVP.... Intuitive's biggest issue is the sheer number of people and layers on the sales team. You used to not be able to "hide" at ISI whereas now everyone is constantly asking each other what exactly do people do all day... One thing i can say is the salesforce is much healthier as most folks have plenty of extra time to get a workout in....

Is it still the same now? What positions had been eradicated since then to improve Intuitive's structure?

Like how many clinical sales representatives are there per region? Are there any improvements in the regions mentioned here?
