Interviewed today....Reading these other posts...should I run for the hills?

But a $120k salary does soften the blow a little bit.

What a fucking idiot, you can work here for 10 years at this point and still not be close to 120k lol. Its not 1999 anymore dickhead, the fact that you said that proves 2 things, 1-You are just a fucking loser, or 2- you are such a loser that you've been a rep for over 10 years and never moved on.

Forest is known in the industry to be one of the lowest payers. You do not have to believe me, simply contact any pharma recruiter ( their are millions to choose from) and they will tell you the pay is on the low end. I was contacted by a recruiter about six years ago, when this industry was still somewhat alive, and when the recruiter found out how much I was currently making versus the job he was trying to place at Forest, he said I would not be interested in it.

Go ask one.

This is a serious post. I am a former Forest employee. Go with your instincts. They are always right. If you are asking that question, you already have your answer. I regret taking a job with Forest. I had a lot of sales experience too. I am not a 22 year old. I had my reservations when I accepted the job with Forest. The Forest name is now a blemish on my resume. Forest is not a happy place to be. My advise - run and don't look back.

I could have written the above post but did not. I was not desperate for a job, but took the job as a specialty rep anyway. They mislead me on the call panel (the same as a primary care rep but larger geography), and they micromanage your life. I am ashamed of the time I spent at Forest (I left in less than a year), and most companies I interview with am surprised I would take a job with this company. Run

come back to us, need you to run some weekly reports, that no one will read

First of all, you need to take all these "Negative" posts with a grain of salt. I really would not let a cafepharma board of bitching.

Forest is a good company, great products and pipeline of products. This job is make or break on the type of DM you have, we all know it. If you have a "Micro Manager" who knit picks the smallest thing, then your life will be hell. Forest is one of the few companies that will promote people from within, without having to commit to years in some home office in a part of the country no one wants to live in, so that is a positive.

If you actually "Do your job", you will do fine, majority of the time, problems come from reps who take short cuts, or just stop working and are then looked at. Yes, they ask a lot out of you, but so does any other pharma company.

Lastly, Forest WILL pay for prior pharma performance, again it depends on what you bring to the table, and more importantly, how a territory is performing. They will try to low ball you, but if you have documented sale awards with another pharma company. this WILL help your cause, I don't care what anyone says about no matter what you have for experience it is $52K max, that is what they call a big steaming pile of BS!

Good luck to you

This post is correct except it fails to recognize that since 98% of the DM's, RD's and ABD's here are fucking morons that have no experience; you only have a 2% chance of being happy here. Yes, they promote from whithin, usually it's the wrong choice, but they promote from wihtin.
