Interview Process at Lilly?

Sit. Speak. Good boy. Arf Arf

I have been contacted by email to set up my phone interview for next week. I Made my appointment time and now I wait. Can anyone tell me what the phone interview is like? Questions attitude they look for key concepts buzz words etc.. I have passed my online assessment too. I don't care about the drug test I am clean clean clean. I know someone will write after you wok here you will be so dirty or something to that fact. lol
But seriously folks i am in contention for yes a FIXED DURATION position Primary Care Sales Representative Diabetes. I know its not glamorous and its fixed duration but being laid off after Wyeth was bought by Pfizer and doing the contract thing I need to pay the bills. Question do you have any chance of being hired full time permanent status from this position? Do you get treated the same as permanent reps or like dogs? I am just looking for a little honest guidance then you all can say whatever you want . Thanks folks.

Nowadays extensive background check - financial, police, S/FBi, electronic mail, Google, Yahoo, Facebook, MySpance, etc...,

Get an attorney and do a due diligence on your part.

One of the criteria you will be agreeing will be the CIA - no not that - Corporate Integrity Agreement which Lilly agreed with FDA/HHS to be a participatory in Medicare/aid (The Zyprexa Case penulty).

Learn about Lilly CEO, and upper managements, and of course your manager (thorugh grapevine)

Call HR 317-433-9000 to get more info on recruiter. Thyr are some very good people, and many not good.

Learn to respect the chain and oyu should be below expectation. If you suspect you got bad ePM, search for a job while you have one...don't linger b/c your days are numbers.

Cannot bring modern communication device with camera so becareful.

If oyur language is other than American English, your days are naturaly predetermined before your job. Don't go over the age of 45, you are no good for job.

Speak when told to or stay quite. Never show-off your prowess else will be considered "too" intelligent.

folks, anythign else I missed

You covered it all, but of course, who, except someone very hungry, would want that kind of position? Also, be aware that many advertised positions don't really exist.

Why would any company that promote itself as innovative, hire anyone over the age of 45? The core workforces at Facebook, Google, Apple, etc. all have a median age under 35. Only their upper management teams have anyone over 45. Lilly is dying because its median age is over 48. There's no innovation in this place, only rule after rule that starves off innovation.

Interesting, but Steve Jobs is 72 and during his late sixties pioneered the coolest consumer technology ever possibly. Think about it. Facebook on the other hand will probably crash and burn just like AOL, MySpace, even Yahoo ... think about it. Or do you think at all? Probably just worried about your next mortgage payment, hmmmm?

Facebook and other social websites have no intrinsic value -- it is for GoldmansSachs and similar company to show off their artistry of thievary aand monetary corruptive practices .

Facebook is not Google, not ebay, not Bidu, not Amazon, and has no merit. It is hyped up of 60 billion dollar of value that no US investors could participate pre-market. Not that they could not but inherent risks of losing valuation.

I have heard that Facebook will be first US company to become 1 trillion dollars (US) stock. But before that either US dollar will devalue 100 fold or money will lose its value -- as Germany experienced in 1930s.

Their value is based upon the service they provide. What does Lilly produce except adverse side effects and law suits. And look at Lilly's financial picture. John has spent all of Lilly's cash reserves and at the same time run up billions in long-term debts. How is Lilly going to pay its debt service when it's revenues are drying up?

By selling off more historic valuable Lilly property for pennies on the dollar, sticking it to the stockholders and employees, and selling more snake oil. In other words, just more of the same.

That is sad. The wise are considered too old to be "innovators", while the young and arrogant drive the company into the ground. I hate feeling so vulnerable at my age. When I started working, we actually valued older colleagues and looked to them for wisdom and mentorship. Nowadays, anyone over 40 is considered a has-been and is looked upon as "expensive". I am too young to retire but too old to be respected. I hate feeling like this. I hate being stuck here. I hate being ignored and under appreciated. It just gets worse and worse in this economy.

I wouldn't interview at Lilly... Go to a small company where you are incentivized to promote a product and get rewarded accordingly. Lilly's customer service like mentality and team goals is hardly "selling"..

This is true. Once inside, you become a white elephant. Try getting an outside job. Lilly does not have a good reputation as a source of talent. In fact, I have heard things I would never repeat. Stay away. They'll provide a nice relo package and stick you with a huge tax bill.

Nothing but trouble and it won't end when you leave. It will linger for years. A scarlet Lilly red letter and now everyone will say, "oh you are with that outfit that drugs our food source"

Nothing but trouble. Stay away.

Your interview is the first time you have to kiss their butt, if your unlucky enough to get hired ya gotta keep on kissin ad nauseum

Can anyone share the salary range for the osteoporosis positions?
I am an experienced pharma rep.

If you are experienced and have to come on here to ask for a salary range then you should probably go get a job at home depot. Besides Lilly is a sinking ship other than Oncology or Diabetes. Best advice you'll ever receive; Go find a job outside of pharma because the gig is almost up or go find a job dancing somewhere. It's cash, don't have to report all of it, and who doesn't like smelling like cocoa butter or wearing sparkles.

Really? You are that desperate?

exactly.
it is only the ignorant that still think these positions are good. First, it is not a sales job, but a high paying political job. Second, there is no stability. Finally, you are going to have to deal with customers that don't want to see you.

very little upside.
if you want sales, find a small, private company where you will not be micromanaged. large companies like Lilly offer you the moon, but their is nothing worse than being treated like a child when you are an adult, and that is exactly what you get with Lilly.
