Interview Process at Lilly?

I had a phone interview and following received a "congratulations" email stating I made it to the next level in the interview process. They asked me to fax within 3 days the application. That was a month ago, no response since. Is this common? Also I noticed they are still advertising this position online. Any feedback would be helpful.

I also applied for a FDE position when I saw it posted on a job board. I went directly to the Eli Lilly website. After applying, I immediately received a message to take the online assessment. I took the online assessment. That was over a week ago. I still have yet to hear from anyone to set up a phone interview.

Guess that means I am out too. So much for 8 years medical sales (pharma/equipment/biotech). I didn't think this was an entry level position??

Any serious responses are welcomed!

Have fun being treated like crap, if you are hired!

Totally over-rated company to work for.

It takes awhile! I just completed the process and it took 3.5 months. Its pretty standard for big pharma. I was also in the running for two other pharma co.s that also took that long!

All hiring has been outsourced to India. It takes a while to transmit all of the info on your application. A guy in Bombay, riding a stationary bike with an electric generator attached to it, is pedaling as fast as he can. So don't get anxious quite yet. These things take time. If you are lucky, you will be turned down because the guy on the bike got tired and quit. You won't get notified until about March of 2011. Lilly HR at it's best!

Same boat...Phone interview, 20 minutes, said they would call for face to face. Sent in the silly screening application. Still haven't heard, and am hoping it is only because of the holidays.
Was for a cardio fixed duration position. (With no guarantee for what the duration really was) This was 3rd week of Dec

That is the cutest thing I have heard here for a while!!!! Someone has to pedal his bike to generate some electrons to fire up his laptop to process your application materials.

PLEASE STAND BY. AN OPERATOR WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY!

"Your Career is Very Important to us...please stand by while Our FIPNet Empire spanning Bangalore, Chung-Du and Bangladesh consults the entrails to determine how to proceed with your application..."

Please stand by while the Mothership attempts another ICOS-like buyout in which all IP is seized and the staff fired. In this way and in only this way, will your job be available. Thank you. Please check back again often for more opportunities.

Will someone that knows please answer me seriously. I am sure there are a lot of people that would like to know

Again what type of drug test does lilly give pre-hire?

The same as every other company! Urine and Blood samples. Sign paperwork that let's do what they want with the samples. Then they test for whatever they want. If you are worrying about them testing for drugs then don't interview. You won't have a job for long anyway! Move on and interview with a company on the way up, not the way down. Less stress and a better life will be yours if you move on.

sounds like someone has been doing some recreational drugs and is getting a little worried...my advice is to stop doing drugs idiot.... if your interviewing or applying for a job i mean really??

I have been contacted by email to set up my phone interview for next week. I Made my appointment time and now I wait. Can anyone tell me what the phone interview is like? Questions attitude they look for key concepts buzz words etc.. I have passed my online assessment too. I don't care about the drug test I am clean clean clean. I know someone will write after you wok here you will be so dirty or something to that fact. lol
But seriously folks i am in contention for yes a FIXED DURATION position Primary Care Sales Representative Diabetes. I know its not glamorous and its fixed duration but being laid off after Wyeth was bought by Pfizer and doing the contract thing I need to pay the bills. Question do you have any chance of being hired full time permanent status from this position? Do you get treated the same as permanent reps or like dogs? I am just looking for a little honest guidance then you all can say whatever you want . Thanks folks.
