Impel NeuroPharma

I am interviewing tomorrow in Dallas. Have been told 155K for salary plus equity. Management seems to be very strong and from small biotech backgrounds who have landed here to launch this, and cash out when CEO sells company. (Obviously a lot of assumptions in that statement, but that is what the most optimistic would say their plan is, IMO)
Yes. I received call today for final interview at DFW Hyatt in 2 weeks.

Who in gods name is going to work for this company? I know 6-8 representatives currently selling in the migraine space with years of migraine experience and relationships with Neuros that these mgrs passed on??? Are they hiring a bunch of mattress sales reps???!

this product is an old dog.. and you are going to need people with relationships and experience to even have a chance in hell at getting a NRX.
Good luck

Thanks for your perspective. Those currently selling migraine drugs aren’t the only ones with Neuro experience and relationships. You do realize that, correct? Maybe the managers are looking for experienced Neuro reps that are more than just talking heads. Those who sell drugs that require one to use their brain around pull through with specialty pharmacy, prior auths and appeals, insurance hub services, etc…let’s say account managers versus sales reps. Those do exist out there and I’d venture to say your friends (and probably you) who were “passed over,” likely fall into the sales rep bucket versus’ the account manager bucket. Good luck with whatever rep job you land in.

Couldn’t disagree with your post more. These reps all have experience with Hub and pull through.. and are tenured reps. My guess is it has to do with salary or hiring of their friends. Either way, it’s a blessing in disguise.. this drug has nothing going for it.

I agree with the above post.., if you’ve sold in that space that’s kinda a golden ticket. You know the disease state forward and backwards, competitors drugs and prescribing habits of the Neuros???! That’s definitely a leg up to someone who just calls on Neuros but sells a Parkinson’s drug or something.. this drug and company would need all the advantages it could get..

Do you know what bonus payout is targeted to be? I’m going to Dallas next week but am unclear on that part.

85-105k depending on experience. 40k on target earnings. Hinted at no vacations for the rest of the year due to it being a launch product. So expect to not have any pto the remainder of the year.

No coverage at all For this product.

I was told 85k BASE and 40 OTE. I passed on it after the first round interview because they said ZERO coverage at the moment.

85!?? They are paying upwards of 140 in base. You must be a troll on this board

I got an offer of 90k, and I counter-offered 105k, they said they couldn't go higher than 90k, but they said the bonus compensation could be rewarding for q4. I declined as I was getting paid the same base where I am currently at.

For vehicles being offered, there will be no fleet vehicles until 2022. For now, only rentals are being offered.

Truth about the salary - taken directly from LinkedIn posting for Jacksonville FL:

Check out this job at Impel NeuroPharma: Neurology Sales Specialist - Jacksonville, FL
https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/2686294686

Salary $58,000 - $91,000 /yr Entry Level

Sounds real special and professional - Primary Care newbies, simpleton cheap management and wannabe recycled “novel” product that will garner little interest and no coverage.

Looks like a real winner to me LOL!!!!!

I don’t see anywhere in that post where the pay is that amount. I am not flying to Dallas for 90K Way less than I make now. Can anyone out there confirm this?!! I will ask the recruiter to confirm again tomorrow

I feel like some of these posts are false and just trying to create doubt. They probably got passed over and want others to “think” the base is low and product isn’t great. I have a friend who said 140K base as well.
