Submitted my resume but was wondering what my chances are w/ the open Derm positions?

Not too bad; however, with zero experience in biologics you are at a major disadvantage. Regarding your 8 years in pharma, this is meaningless unless you can substantiate: 1) that your DM gave you top 10% ratings at least 4 of your 8 years; 2) recorded sick and personal time equal to or below the norm; and 3) no evidence of substance abuse.

Best of luck.

Got similar background as the post you replied to particularly no biologics experience, but are u serious about the recorded sick/personal time and substance abuse comment? Just wondering..

I rarely call out sick each year and always have vacation days rolled over at current and past employers, so will they actually ask for this info, if what ur saying above is fact. I'm a pretty hard working guy, late 30's not married no kids.

No substance abuse or any drugs of course.

Just tired of waiting around for a call or email. Gonna focus on the other companies I applied to.

You should be fine. Substance abuse (ie drugs) is pretty much the norm these days. Regarding sick/personal time that has become an issue of late due to the high abuse of this benefit among millennials.

Best of luck !!

one other point...they will do a credit check also to see if you are financially solvent.

I probably shouldn't share this but this is what I do. I have recorded messages on my phone that go something like "I want to prescribe (insert drug name here) for (insert condition here). I record these with a background of high vibration music to ramp up the effect.

Then when I am talking to a Dr I play these at a volume below the level of conscious perception. It works like a charm. When asked why my numbers are looking so good by my DM I just give him some bullshit about making sure to get buy in, following up on probing questions, etc.

So sad and immature !

Does Abbvie really do credit checks?? My last 2-3 employers didn't require it that I recall. I have excellent credit but definitely don't want to disclose every single thing about me that's just too much. Credit reports tell every single thing from years ago.. banks you use, your credit card accounts, any and all closed or open accounts you have, all former addresses, all previous employers and any and all investments you have in your name.

Can someone confirm this? I don't mind they check credit score, but credit report is a entirely too much!! Who the hell wants their employer to have a hard copy of every single f'n thing about them??

I got a call from recruiter for the second time. Looks like they're still recruiting in some parts of the country. But damn do they really do a credit check here?

Has anyone who interviewed got the feeling the DM's are going to be micromanaging the crap out of the new reps for this launch?!

Have all the interviews been completed?

There are no openings in derm. But stay patient, expect some in near future.

As for credit checks they are SOP when hiring new candidates. The rationale credit check is to see if you have outstanding lawsuits, or financial stress that could compromise your performance. This inclusive of other items ( high performance ratings, no PIPs, low recorded sick and personal time and no substance abuse such as OUI etc). If selected, you can expect a thorough in-house physical that includes substance screening (X ray, urine, blood, ear wax, hair) to ascertain your affidavits.
