If you make 88K base or higher....GOODBYE!

All "territory managers" are gone as they do nothing to add value and their so called "metabolic training" is laughable. I did a Uloric lunch with my "territory manager" partner and I was wiping his ass all the way through the lunch with gout info from several (non-training department) sources on disease state. My Rhum told me later that my partner has been saying the same stupid shit for years, he asked me if the guy ever reads anything new and wondered why they call him a TM. I've been selling Uloric for 18 months and can answer more questions from my Rhum about Gout than this guy whom my DM and RM hale at meetings as one of the region experts. Please get rid of the stupid people, who make far too much money.

P.S. 4 years with the company and I make 64K base. Num-nuts (TM partner) has been around for 9 years and braggs about making 90K base.

My partner is a senior rep and has been around since TPNA started. Her base is 98k, she is the worst sales person ever and makes way too much money! I've been with the company almost 4 years too, 63k base.

I just got through new hire training 4 months ago and there were other new hires coming after my class. Can't believe I'm going through a possible layoff so soon. The majority of my district has close to 10 years seniority and probably get a big base but they are awesome. I don't see any of them getting the boot!

Time and date call records will govern layoff criterion this time around. I had an MBA as one of my reps, super smart guy - "awesome" as you say. The guy never worked, but man was he was great in meetings and ride-alongs!

Senior mgt knows it's not about "how awesome" or "how smart" the rep is, at this juncture it's about finding the ones who will work a full day. They are now auditing to see who is recording their calls throughout the day without big gaps and "AM only" sample drops.

this is what we've come to? how ridiculous is it that people are on here talking about call records/time stamps/sample drops??? seriously aren't we grown adults? if this shithole company wants to look at call records/time stamps/sample drops and determine who stays or go...so be it. what job in america where you are required to have a 4-yr degree, take tests to sell drugs and have continuing education in the medical field, has a manager ride with you in a car and critique you in front of your customer? primary care rep jobs are just that pc rep jobs. very overpaid for what we do and better suited for someone right out of college or better yet high school. i made the unfortunate mistake of staying in this industry way to long and am now paying the price looking in other places. i got caught up in the money, car and paper signatures. pc reps are a joke and seen as such not only among physicians but all other sales professionals. so, let takeda determine things based on who's making it look like they work from 8-5 and do lunches everyday. in the end it doesn't matter how hard you worked or didn't work...you are a laughing stock among professional people!

Yes, this is what the Pharma Industry has come to and I agree with your sentiments. Thank goodness I have two other degrees!!!!

Sounds like someone is not making their calls! Do yourself and your partners a favor and resign immediately.

I call bull shit. I can't believe there are any reps here making a base as low as 63K. I'd have to believe at least 90 to 95% are at 88K or higher. I've been here for 12 years and have a base of sig. over 88K. I know most other do as well. I call complete bs on the 63K base poser er, poster. Get a life!

TAP legacy rep here. Been here since 2001 and have base of $93K

TAP legacy at 9 years next month and 74K base - tons of us from expansion class of Feb/Mar 2003. The pre-expansion TAP legacy reps (10yr's plus) are making the huge base salaries. Most all of the "original" Prevacid Reps are easily over 100K base at this point.
