I make 80 grand working 1 day a week and so do most of you. It rocks being a cso. I give nothing much and still get paid. I dont complain because where else can i work 1 day a week and get paid?

Exactly. That is why I post all the time saying how much I like it and tell people not to complain. I work one day a week at the most. I could not do this with a real job.

Very true
No one notices we dont work because they really dont expect us to as contract employees
No one cares that we dont work so it is very low stress for us reps and the managers
That is why I love it

When I fire your sorry ass and you're unemployed, don't come back begging for a job. You're screwing around with a network that has contacts in every company and don't think we don't talk. When you get fired from contract sales, you're fired from the industry.

Signed: A real DM, who has real reps who actually WORK for a living every day.

Now give me your pitiful little smartass reply to that!

ewwww. A contract DM. Now that's someone worth respecting. That is one hell of a position you got thayer big fella. Is it hard to accept you cant get a job with the big boys and girls? Its ok Tommy, mommy still tells all her friends that you are a big success. (no one knows you are still breast feeding). Now go get a good nights sleep, because im all ready for my big day with you tomorrow in the field. A CSO DM is what I want to be. I want to be like you!

Seriously, How do you do this? I work the full 5 days a week. How do you have signatures and leave samples then. Besides entering "Fake Calls" you will have no signatures which is a big red flag that you aren't working. How do you get away with this?

1 day is typical for the majority of us. You are full of shit. 2 days would be over the top.

19 years in this industry. What a fucking joke. Reality hits when you realize that you have no immediate marketable skills. What skills can you transfer from a pharma sales, into another industry and receive the same total compensation?
??????
Not a fucking thing

As a hiring manager I can assure you I wont even consider a contract rep. We are all aware that you individuals have no other options available. And our question as Hiring managers is why? Why is one person able to get the real job, and you were passed up with the only option available being a CSO? Think about it.

How hard it it to fake a signature? Most of the people that I know in the silly industry, CSO or not, do it all the time. If you are on paper, then it it not that hard to get multiple sigs on paper (without dates) from a clinic and turn them in on days when you don't work. If you are on computer sigs, take a photo of the sig before you save it; it is not that hard to copy it when you need. Get a big box and start throwing your "signed" samples in, so you can keep track of your inventory. How hard is this?

Ride out this ridiculous job, in this ridiculous industry, for as long as you can; because it will certainly be ending in the next couple of years. Once Pfizer loses Lipitor off patent, you can kiss all the ridiculous and wasteful "pharma rep" jobs goodbye.

I was also fired years ago and wish I could get my job back. No one will hire me. So I try to ruin it for others. I am bitter, lonely, and horny.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, honey. I am sorry that you cannot find a job anywhere. You just have to understand that the core skill set that you developed in the pharma world, that being the ability to self-delude yourself that you actually bring any kind of value or serve any purpose to who you are told is your customer base; is really a "niche" skill set that other industries just do not value as much as your beloved drug industry.

I really hope that you will find you a position that will allow you to further develop your ability to ask high-school educated front desk staff for signatures, as anyone can see that the future potential of that type of skill is limitless. Some people have abilities that are just too far ahead of the market to be fully appreciated and valued, and I think that your ability to balance a tray of sandwiches with your sample bag, just might be one of those abilities. Have faith, I am sure some forward thinking venture capitalist will put together a company that will need people that can predictably ask someone to sign slips of paper, while those someones are running in the other direction.

Happy "selling"......................
