I wonder how serious these guys are in building a sales force

What other benefits?
Cell phone ? insurance? Stock? 401k?

Yes all the above. Full benefits comparable to any other Pharma company. The recruiter or manager can give exact details. And to the post about only having 1 drug, that won't be for long. I mean this is their very first drug! Check out their pipeline on their website. There is always room for new and improved, and if you can really sell (and can handle the work that goes into a drug launch) then you should be able to sell this. They are also looking into purchases. And this isn't a paycut for everyone. A base of 80-90 could be a bump for many. You're likely coming for the opportunity to potentially be part of something new and rapidly growing. Not for everyone but certainly worth considering. If you aren't interested in the position then why are you wasting your time on the Collegium thread??

OP here... I said they only have 1 approved drug and gave my opinion on launch and expectations. I'm speaking from experience of launching several opioids into the market and if you haven't then it's a challenge even if you do have the skill set to sale. Pipeline is at the mercy of the FDA... you can check the website all you want, but that is not a guarantee it will be approved. You are right about one thing, this can be a raise for some. I didn't say EVERYONE would take a paycut, I stated I would be taking a paycut. If you want to take a risk it may be worth the reward if the launch goes well. That's an "if" so you gotta weigh out ALL options. Finally, I was posting some comments and feedback on my interview and what I was offered to possibly help others making a career decision. I got the offer, turned down the job bc it wasn't a good fit for me compensation wise/benefits. Therefore, I had interest in the position initially or I wouldn't waste my time or the hiring manager. The snide remark was not necessary or needed smarty pants. Some people just feel better by being rude. Thankfully, I am not one of them. Good luck to all who take the job and best wishes!

Did a recruiter post the BS about the pipeline? The pipeline is even weaker than the lead product.
Dont take this job unless you are unemployed or having relations with a high writing pain doc.
Managed care is going to be brutal with this product since OC has in their label the abuse data and real world data is already supplying generics with their product. Read up on the Purdue patent settlements genius.

If they can get managed care coverage it will be a success. If not, notnsure how they think it will sell. Especially in this declining market with all sorts of new guidelines to decrease opioid utilization. It's all about managed care!

Well said and on point.

No I'm not a recruiter and not all of my comments were in response to your thread, really just the one about having only 1 approved drug. And yes you are right on that. But we all know how quickly drug landscape can change through acquisitions, buy outs etc. I'm going through it now, my products all changed in a matter of weeks. Again just sharing another side of the picture because I think it's better to have a hyper focus on only one drug that's at launch at least initially. I was not referring to you specifically when I commented on those who are not interested should not waste their time on here. It was more for some of the other extremely negative posts. As well as my comment on the pay, not necessarily directed towards you. For me it was a significant raise and it may be for others too, maybe not for those already in pain or speciality but wanted to point that out since again several other posts kept commenting on the "low" pay. I'm just shedding some positive light on the opportunity since it is a good fit for me.

True but anyone who has launched in this space knows about the incredible amount of heavy lifting that goes into getting retail outlets stocked. The flow of opioids into the pharmacies is heavily restricted and managed. You have to be prepared to spend over half your day doing the grunt work at retail

And even doing the grunt work at the retail level doesn't guarantee success. There's so many layers involved where a new CII gets shut down before, after and in between when it gets to a retail pharmacy. This is a losing proposition!
