I was raised to be thoughtful, to be kind, be truthful, and to treat people with respect.
Over half of the country gave a thumbs up to someone who exhibits the polar opposite.
Since 2008, when Trump started with the bogus birther BS, America has become more and more disrespectful to each other, and it reached a fever pitch when Trump campaigned in 2016, and it's only gotten worse.
How is someone who has sown so much discord going to unite us?
They aren't.
That's why I am a sore loser.
I am hoping for the best, but 99.99999% sure I won't get it. A leopard doesn't change its spots.

Well said. I feel totally betrayed by my ”fellow” Americans…like I don’t belong here anymore. Listened to NPR interview with current ICE co director. He described what’s coming to undocumented people in this country. It will not be pretty and I hope against hope that some of the Hispanics who voted for trump will see their families and friends rounded up like the Jews were in Germany. Not only that but small businesses will fail for lack of workers. FAFO…And I hope those Muslims in Dearborn who voted against their own best interests get deported or have to watch their families get nuked in the Middle East. No pity. Thoughts and prayers.

I sure hope Old McDonald finds some workers to pick and pack our food crops. I think deportation and tariffs won't help that a bit.

Your first problem is listening to NPR, do you think the majority of Americans think the way reflected there? Nope, that is why you don't understand the results. The average american doesn't want to pay for other school loans, they don't want dudes playing on girls sports teams, they don't want to pay for prisoners to get sex change operations, etc., etc., etc. Tons of people who voted for our new president don't like him very much, but they dislike the policies of the other side way more. The democrats can keep thinking it is racism, gender bias, etc, but they are wrong. It is ALL ABOUT POLICY.

The average American is not looking at the student loan policies, gender policy nonsense, etc. Those are only items that you fringe losers, left and right, think about.
