Humira is the money engine

For all the posters that are upset about their bonuses, their salaries, the field rides, the micromanaging…the largest selling drug globally will be facing generic competition in 7 months. The party is over. Within a year of biosimilars hitting the market, ABBV will lose 60-70%of Humira sales. Humira brings in 60% of Abbvie’s earnings. People will lose jobs, there will be downsizing, it will be difficult. This is business not charity. Abbvie employs thousands of people globally that will be impacted. Stop whining about your lucrative part time job. It is the greatest gig out there. Prepare yourself for what’s coming and be thankful for the great job you have until it’s gone. Allergen- get over yourself. What a joke. You are lucky to be at Abbvie.

....lucky to be at a company that micromanages, has weekly field rides, and knowingly puts all their eggs in the basket of a drug that's going generic? what a dream.

Also you spelled Allergan wrong, silly goose.

But seriously, there should be a case study on the moronic group of leadership at this organization. Theres no logic, there's no foresight, or future vision. Something has shifted to where Abbvie/Allergan only operates reactively.

Eye Care is a perfect example- they had no plan for Restasis going generic; on the contrary, they hired an entire Syneos sales force to also sell restasis....a 17-year-old drug that they knew was going generic (?)...why though?

...anddd their product launches have been absolute dumpster fires

Why are we dropping co-pay support for indications that overlap with Sky so early? Humira still pays the bills and we should continue to support it up to the bitter end.

Humira keeps most of us employed. We are a tax deduction as sales marketing. Once tax formula hits sales of $ hire or fire more reps. Even if you don’t sell Humira you are subsidized.

Stuff like this is great! Obviously some low level grade 18 schmuck thinking they know exactly how to run a $50b company. Go back to your raised ranch and yell at the TV news

Who? I swear everyone in sales, regardless of the company, is so incredibly bitter and toxic. I am in R&D and it's like I'm living in an entirely different world seeing posts like this daily.

To play devils advocate on this, most sales people have been in the situation where they’ve spent years working hard for a company, only to be laid off without any warning or care. Often times this is due to the company’s own poor budgeting/planning.

If you actually think that any of these companies wouldn’t drop you in a heartbeat if it meant more money in their pockets... keep telling yourself that
