You are so right- typical DM speak to try to keep reps calm. Unfortunately major field sales force layoffs coming, esp in Diabetes accdg to those " in the know" in HQ. Sorry but those in diabetes reps and dbms and cbds get ready for major layoffs!

Did you know that DSM's scan CP hoping to catch grammar and punctuation patters on the boards?

Our DSM is on here 24/7 and so is our CBD. CBD posts quite often.

HQ source here. Having once been in sales management I can attest to two facts about your sales manager, DM, RD, CBD ..... they fear two things more than all others, 1. Being challenged to role play a sales presentation which most will refuse to do because they have zero product knowledge and don't even know the sales messaging. 2. Being exposed on CP because they know their peers and supervisors monitor it for dirt on each other. Those are facts you can take to the bank.
 




Zero chance of layoffs. People just need to find a hobby, a new job, something to keep them busy, as their wretched lives have become less meaningful....Therefore putting stupid, idiotic layoff statements time and time again, just to see who responds.
For all who reads this, come back and reread this thread come January. It'll be the same AZ then,too.
Same number of employees in Diabetes, Respiratory, whatever. Get a life!!

Tell that to the 100 plus ZS professionals displaced.
 




no disrespect, but this thread isn't referring to ZS associates, contract sales, etc. Only " AZ " employees that work in mainstream therapeutic areas.
We're referring to large scale layoffs. Don't get me wrong, 100 layoffs is 100 too many.
AZ is AZ, not Medimmune, ZS Associates, etc. I.E. Those that have been AZ for a few years.

You might as well not forget Amylin and the diabetes division of BMS. Geez, AZ is like the melting pot of big pharma. It was better back then,before buying everyone else.

If it weren’t for Amylin and BMS, AZ would not have a true diabetes division. You can’t call yourself a diabetes division with Onglyza alone, an inferior DPP4i, for sure.
