Hu-Friedy

I would never sell instruments cant make money selling scalers and curettes to hygenist.
What are you making 80K with benefits? Wow, I'm impressed. They are making instruments in China. You disprove me? I shall see the SYCOR people in Cologne and get tha straight scoop from them and not from a salesrep who does not know the business. If you were worth your salt you would be working for an implant company. This is probably your first job in dental. I am not in Northeast and have never worked for Hu-Friedy.

Hu-Friedy booth at Cologne was impressive, but must have cost a fortune; the booth was full but mostly with dozens of Hu-Friedy people. Must have been more than a dozen from the U.S. staff.

they spend a ton of money going after the hygienists because they know that the retail reps are on to them. Most of the good people have been driven out or left the company a long time ago. They are trying to be more like Discus. Great marketing, but the products.....

Just saw that Hu-Friedy is now selling hand cream. What's next...toilet paper?? Why don't they stick to what they were good at making which were dental instruments. Now that they have outsourced most of the production to China their products suck.
Are they trying to expand their product line so far that they compete with the dealers and go direct? They have, hands down, the most inept, worthless management team in the dental industry. Maybe toilet paper would be a good line extension.

Have you TRIED the hand cream? Best stuff out there, hands down!

from what I know they have a rep in CT and has been there for the past 2 years. She also used to cover NY but now they hired another rep to handle it. So i would think that is considered growth.

She covered CT and Bronx NY area. She left field sales 2 years ago and is now a corporate account manager with Schein but still with Hu-Friedy.

Anyone know anything about Hu-Friedy, and why they are without reps in the Philly, Northern NJ, and CT area?

The lost a good Philly rep last year because of $. He went to a dealer to sell equipment. His replacement was a young lady from customer service department that didn't last a year. She left the field and went back to corporate office in Chicago.
The other part of NJ and CT are being covered by other reps now

"No way man. they're still in business and they sell through dental distributors. they've been in business over 100 years."

Where are their instruments manufactured ? Pakistan, China or ?

Where?
