How would you describe the culture at Alcon?

Truman Show. All day every day!

Your job is to be a grain of rice, who stands in line like the rest.

lesser qualified people gain advancement but that supports the under qualified leadership.

so what did I just spell out?

the company will make revenue regardless. People are just part of the story to raise the share price.

Alcon should and will make major slaughter cuts and feel little affect.

if you are creative with energy never come here! Never

Be lucky you are not on the vision care side and deal with the leadership

Seriously, it’s like at any other corporate place. If you’ve never worked in corporate, just know that your input only matters if management agrees with you. Or, if you have a good idea, your boss will sell it as his and get the kuddos. If you are anywhere other than the ELT, you are mainly a “yes” person. If you are disagreeable and creative, corporate is not a place for you. So if you are okay with that, go for Alcon, Medtronic, Pfizer, etc. If your goal is to climb the corp. ladder, be ready to brown-nose your way up there. The money tends to be good though, which is why many stay.

Look around there are scoundrels over at the major disaster. Piece of shit place falling apart and total freak show.

yea hiring is a freak show. It’s a horizontal bar that dictates work here. Steady State. But make sure you hire vastly under qualified and then please act like a champion philanthropist for doing so.

it’s SO soccer mom and dad of you. Lol

The GM’s of the Surgical/Pharma/Vision Care are 3 Narcissists! They care only about their careers and NOT the business or the day to day employees. The senior leadership teams they assemble reflect this core character flaw! Sean, Lisa and Kristen are the three GM’s with the shallowest depth in character! Stay clear of this place! And their direct leadership teams are just as bad!
