How were Orlando interviews?

I went and it really left me with a feeling that this is a very amateur company trying to look like they know what they are doing. I've never in my long history in pharmaceutical seen such a process like Bausch and Lomb's interviews. It was a bit degrading and I actually will not pursue this company. I can't take these American Idol style interviews seriously and I only went because I was comped the ticket and room. Hate to say it but most of these Cage Pharma posts were dead on...

No one has anything good to say about this company because there really is not anything positive going on. You can not build a team atmosphere or company loyalty when everyone knows the company will no longer exist in its current form in a year or two.

Everyone is just along for the ride trying to maximize their share of the remaining pot before it all goes away.

I was in Orlando and you are dead on correct in your assessment of B&L. They were in full cattle call mode and the company was not looking for a quality rep but the rep who would take the least amount of money for the position. I was repeatedly asked what was your base and commission last year. You are never supposed to talk money during the early parts of the interview process, you are supposed to sell yourself to the company as a good fit and vice-versa. It was painfully clear what this company's future is :VERY SHORT TERM.

Having been thru cattle call interviews b4, I thought they did a pretty good job. Yes, it was long and dragged out, but fairly organized. I didn't get the job but thought the experience was better than others I'd been through in the past.

This was one of the worst interview experiences I have had even though the interviews went well. Any interview process that begins with giving the meeting planner your 2010 year ending pay statement is very amature at best, almost comical. I agree with previous posters. I will not pursue this company.

Haha! Agreed. Plus all the other documentation they asked you to bring to the interview. Worthless. Neither of my 2 interviews even asked me to do the role play! WTH

I almost laughed in that chick's face when she said to leave my pay stub with her...like I was going to let her put my earnings statement in her folder -- WTF?? These people are nuts, if you want talent don't collect pay stubs, ask about how skilled we are and negotiate like normal companies.

No shit, ain't that ridiculous!

This is sounding more and more like the company from Hell.

B&L is a company owned by a investment firm called : Pincus Warburg.I was told by a current B&L rep that they (Pincus Warburg) will sell B&L in the next two years. The CEO is Fred Hassan,
who sold out every company he has run including:pharmacia,Schering Plough and US Surgical.
So it looks like a very short term position from hell.

First its Warburg Pincus, second CEO IS Brent Saunders. You obviously don't work here, or if you do your head is up your ass!
