Compitition has grabbed another 7% of the market so OI must be getting deaply in the red

No that is not it. We have no Leadership that is motivated. Production has nothing to do with it. Ask our customers and you will know. High turnover, expanded to quickly and with too many, customers are no longer loyal, some our but most are not, they used to be.

Hilarious. I'm starting to think we have a professional shit-stirrer around hear. No posts on this thread for months. today theres six new ones on,the board trying to start something.
I work at OI and read this about 1X per week for entertainment. Some employees were talking about something they read here two weeks ago and since then it seams a few more post than usual. 9 people were viewing this site on Monday at 7PM? The sales team seams bitter and without any clear leadership. Sales moral may take our company down for the count in time.

OI is broke and the state of MA is going to be screwed for handing them 13 million to buy two buildings to be held privatly by Geoff's trust.
Geoff had told the someone in the governors office that " we are months away from developing an artificial liver" a lie to solicit the states biotech grants.

Obviously you were given misinformation as raises we're given along with bonuses. Do your homework!!!!
Wow Leadership Team - going back to a post from 3/29 to deflect the fact that your laid off 200 people at Christmas with no severance, laid off older employees only to give younger employees their jobs, and took big fat bonuses for yourself. I am in awe of your slickness!
Hey know it all, I am not even part of the leadership team. Just clarifying that raises were given this year. Also more younger employees than older we're let go so again you are wrong!
I did not imply that yearly merit increases were not given, I was stating that this was a reply to a post from March and the purpose of the reply was to deflect the fact that severance was not given (as reported in the press). Fact is where older employees were laid off because there was no position, that same position was filled by a younger employee.
Do you disagree that the VPs, directors, and managers should take a pay cut to save the company and jobs? I expect you do not and most likely management.
You called it correctly. The exec was using classic low grade diversion. Picking on an irrelevant fact (something from 9 months ago) to divert from issue at hand. The other point ignored, is that while they can and will claim more younger employees got let go, that is because there were more younger employees to begin with. As a %, excluding execs and friend of G and G (untouchables), older employees got hit more.

Upper lever management will not voluntarily cut their salaries. What they will do is layoff more of the 35-55K salaries instead. HR will most likely destroy moral, culture and create nasty political clicks to make another 70 people just quit. The company has a dangerous long term debt right now without any means to pay it back. Long term suggestion is for everyone just to start looking for a new job. We have bad math with current pricing and things will be getting worse as competition increases in 2014.
