Good point, renewal could come with a reduction.I have to say quite shocked that this contract was extended. Many areas of the US are no see
By policy of the clinics.
Perhaps there will be specific areas where there will be no PDI . So who knows what the actual contract will say in several weeks.

This contract provides experienced sales representatives
at a rather low cost compared to the Novartis counterparts....besides ABL reduction would take place if PDI was reduced.
Agreed. Great business move paying them 65k max for that experience. Nothing personal just business.
A warm body dropping samples...thats the only experience this contract requires.

Thanks, ye ole great Novartis rep. Paying "them" 65k??? You need to update your info. Also, in my area, PDI has done a great job growing Entresto in primary care offices, a feat that No one at NVS seems to has been able to figure out. I bet that if PDI and CV2 or CV1 were to switch jobs for 2 months, the uptick in prescribing would be tremendous.

Jeff Timong is a horses ASS!!Well, it’s middle of month, wonder how contract negotiations going? Will I be looking for new job this late Spring or continue with primary care telling me it’s a cardiologist medication?
Been on 4 different contracts with 3 different contracts during my 15 years in the industry and in every case the sales force was stressing about job security at the end of every year. The talk usually begins around September with reps frequently asking each other questions like "How long do you think this contract will last?" and "Do you think they'll renew the contract for another year?". It seems to be part of the package in contract sales, but it sucks to be stressing about possible job loss every year, especially during the Holiday season. So what happens in 2019? Will Novartis continue with this sales team or will the company sale mess things up? No 9ne seems to say anything, feels like a holding pattern that I thought would be resolved by now. I’d like to enjoy my holiday season with confidence knowing I’ll have a job in January. I don’t want a last minute cut off notice right before the break!
