Wah, wah, wah! What a little baby!! If y'all don't want a roommate, just book a room at a hotel near the meeting and pay out of pocket! I plan to make a new friend with my roommate.
Better yet, call your primary care doc and get a note simply stating "For medical reasons ______ should not have a roommate during company meetings." That is ALL it needs to say. You never have to disclose personal medical information. Submit this letter to your HR and manager and you will forever have your own room. Problem solved!
