How do these incompetent "managers" continue to get promoted???

novartis cultivates and promotes incompetence and corrupt characters throughout every division. i have not encountered a single leader in this organization who i would call worthy of being a leader. and the worse they are the higher they climb.

Uh, if you haven’t noticed, we’ve slowly evolved into a woke world of box checking and personal pronouns to identify the “best” candidate for ANY job nowadays. I mean, have you listened to our current VP of the US? She’s literally too dumb to speak. This is happening in every large corporation, government agency, and coming to whatever organization you work in, if not already. And sadly, history shows that this only leads to the downfall of revenue, productivity, culture, etc....can you say Bud Light or CNN? Funny thing is, most of these “political appointment” beneficiaries actually believe they were promoted on merit and have quite the ego and chip on their shoulder when they arrive, lol......So thankful I only have a few years left in the working sector, I can’t imagine coming into this BS in my twenties.

kakistocracy

When morons take over your country this is what you have. It has spilled over into everything, even medicine. Scary where we're headed if this doesn't stop.

Agree. I find it farcical Novartis and many corporations use the term 'leader' describing middle management. Leaders inspire, motivate, collaborate and find individual connections with their team, something I've never observed nor experienced in CV at Novartis. Rather, I look at ABL's as microphones to follow mindless metrics and/or collators who approve expense reports!

I just came over to oncology and the manager acts like we are primary care reps, it’s humiliating. Nobody wants to be beat over the head from 8 to 5, for 2 days every 4 weeks. Unless you’re trying to drive good reps away, please find something else to justify your job.

Try 3 days. Nothing makes me hate Novartis more than the fact that they think I’m such an idiot I need a guy with less experience than me to spend 3 days a month criticizing me all day. I could live with almost anything else.

I can't imagine being anyone of these managers and believing that I am coaching someone to help them. These Pharma Managers are little children. How any of them think this is good is beyond comprehension. I often wonder if one of the interview question they ask a manager is "Will you be childish and petty most of the time?" We know you appear to be an adult but that is NOT what we are looking for, we want a manager that will act like a moronic child and believe they are actually an adult and helping.

Wow they are doing multiple all day field rides in Onco now? What a disaster Novartis has turned into!

As a manager I can 100% say that my coaching has helped reps sell more. And I've helped companies get rid of dead weight.

Managers bring zero value to an office. If you don't think we can do the job hire someone else. As Steve Jobs once said " We don't hire smart people and tell them what to do. We hire smart people so they can tell us what to do"

Novartis is caught in the endless loop of 1990s pharma. They refuse to evolve because it’s all they’ve ever known or ever will know. CV management is the worst that I’ve seen in my career. Dumpster fire.

Because Novartis constantly rewards yes men and punishes and pushes out everybody else. Let’s not forget the fact that employee surveys always fall on deaf ears and management’s approach to any questions from the rank and file is “too bad, just be happy you have a job”.

Exactly. What a dbag thinking you’re weeding out when in reality you’re wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars by driving good people away. Nobody here was hired to be babysat. You’re delusional.
