Hospira's disregard for quality continues

Hmmmm. Too many Chiefs and not enough indians. You know what happens when things become too top heavy? It topples.

Other than an occasional emai about the new hires, there has been little to no introductions of the people that are hired to lead. They stay behind the "closed doors" and rule as if they know what is going on and how the jobs get done. There has been no contact with the upper levels and the workers in a while. Maybe we get to see them when they dish out Christmas dinner. Don't know who they are but on occasion the dinner is good.

What a scumbag company? After spending some time there, all I can say is why the FDA hasn't padlocked the doors on the Rocky Mt site and brought in federal marshals is beyond me. Only reason they're still open is their product line is too important to lose. Still, I bet there's a lot of cash changing hands there. Betting some federal employees got some offshore bank accounts if you catch my drift. But don't worry--they're not bright. They treat the employees bad and the contractors like dirt. Betting even more that somebody's got a sweet qui-tam suit in the works already... Wow, that's going to humiliate the FDA if and when the news of it breaks!

The quarterly conference call mentions these plants with FDA 483's..

-Lake Forest (this past wk received letter that fda was not satisfied with remediation.

-Rocky Mount

-Costa Rica

-Clayton

-McPherson

-India (2 plants - One was shut down temporarily and employees needed retraining)

-Austin

Also mentioned remediation is costing more and taking longer to correct that previously thought.

Mike Ball made the odd remark that they expect additional recalls and take that as making progress. ?????

Vizag plant coming online in 2014.

Take away from the conference call today.

Lake Forest just had FDA inspection 2wks ago. Was given a 486 with 10 observations. Alot of them repeats from previous inspection.
