If they end up buying it, the Horizon people will be paid more than Amgen folks just like when Otezla folks came over. Don’t get to attached, Amgen and I are in a competition for who can get more divorces, and they currently have a slight edge over me. They get rid of NSD about every two years. I’m averaging every three.

We make a lot more then the otezla folks. I hope to cash out on 600k+ worth of stock and get a year severance. Been at horizon for 3 years and was a wild ride. Highest paying company by far for a rep job.

I worked at Horizon before Amgen. Yes, good money but holy crap! They are the most shady, unethical company. Amgen would be stepping into a shit show if they buy them.
 
















It was a shock for the Otezla people who had to come to rheumatology and Jeff and Helen's silly 3 teleconferences a week and awarding coach of the year to someone for getting in 100% of their field coaching guides within 24 hours irrespective of their sales performance.

They left dermatology alone but they are getting whittled down as well with constant attacks on "execution." They will eventually be numb like us.

I know some Horizon reps and they say they make $75k a quarter in bonus, work 70 hours a week and get good stock awards but are free to pursue performance and don't have to make any teleconferences in they have a call to make. They will flame out here when they realize their DM is paid to talk situational leadership and OFTEN more than they are to help them. When they learn they will get $3k a year in equity, they will bolt.

Just keep my 401k match baby, and I'll keep adding calls on doormen, elevator clerks, and janitors.

The reps are dirty at Horizon but leadership including DM's are even dirtier here at Amgen. They give 'Coach of the Year" awards here to managers that create Coaching reports w false content on reps they don't like and then promote those managers. Now there will be dirty reps and dirty management. Sounds fun!!!
 




Hey, at least we have call flexing so we can fake things. The analytics people rely on ZS for everything and tell us who to call on, even if the "target" is in administration and doesn't treat patients. We just flex things during ATLAS and enter 5 calls on the nurse station manager. The analytics people feel good about their metrics report and we don't get bothered about execution. The Amgen way.
 




Ha what you idiots call "dirty" is what others call sales. Instead you guys are worried about making up calls and frequency. Honestly I'll do whatever as long as they keep my 190k base and pay a decent bonus. Even if it is on tests.
 




I’m at Horizon. The $75k a quarter is not common. The 100% to goal attn is $16k a quarter. I came from big pharma as did plenty who are here now. The ones who have been here awhile will have a big shock, but they have a shit ton of money from the stock, so they don’t care. Lol!
The truth of the matter is that most of us will have a hard time finding $190k base jobs elsewhere, so we will hang around for awhile, if allowed to.

To the poster that thinks you will get a year of severance, what planet are you living on? If/when they eventually lay some of us off, your tenure won’t be shit at Amgen or anywhere else that buys us. You’ll be lucky to get a few months of salary as a severance.

Pretty standard is 3 months + time of service. And they will take into account your service time at Horizon. Probably won't be a full year but most will get at least 6 months.
