Massive layoffs this week at Pfizer. We were blindsided by an 8 am email to be on a conference call at 9. I hope you’re not next.

I think lay-offs are inevitable. There is no way AbbVie can keep all Allergan employees. I’ve been through a similar situation before. It won’t just be the sales reps getting the axe. I personally don’t care one way or the other; I just wish it would happen sooner rather than later. Morale is low across the board.

Patently false, as a northeast rep anyone telling you there is good access here is a lier a bunch of liberal turds for doctors who are scared of a sneeze. Sure there is some access good I say no.

i applied for one of the new derm management openings, but I have since been told those positions are all on hold? Is the company doing this with anticipation of layoffs?

They don’t always file a WARN notification. They like to keep it under the radar whenever they can. They only file a WARN when dissolving the majority of a franchise otherwise it’s done piecemeal.

WARN is a federal requirement driven by the # of positions effected. Are you in a hiring freeze? Seeing terriroties consolidated? maybe a lot of internim positions? The Abbve playbook is to follow that, then make the call. the call always follows an earnings announcement. no action following the announcement, then you are good for at least a quarter.
