Hills, RC, or Purina

That’s a tough call, like any other position I would go by the interview and if you mesh with your immediate manager. Kind of entry level positions, expect $60-70k plus a little bonus.

I would vote to pass on all three of them and find a different product to sell. I’d rather stick a hot poker in my eye than sell those lines, especially for the crap salary you’ll receive.

Yes they did. It made major headlines and the FDA got involved.
No, you’re wrong. Please cite the major headlines. It was another company. Indeed Hill’s has had a few random recalls over the years, but none involving FDA level death scares. Not to mention the fact that the FDA doesn’t govern pet food.

You are clearly not informed. I work in the industry and it was quite a big deal. I will post the link below but it was regarding toxic levels of Vitamin D in their diets. It was cited that Hill's failed to follow even their own safety guidelines and their response in December was one that was rejected as unacceptable. Hill's knew about it as early as September and they sat on the data until pet's started dying. AAFCO is usually who governs pet food. In this case the FDA got involved and demanded information. Hill's dropped the ball big time. You may say I am wrong but as someone who was there for it...I am not wrong

Recall: Potentially Toxic Vit. D Levels in Hill’s Canned Dog Food

It is all dog food. Can you imagine selling anything less interesting?

I agree. This is not a job that a serious mid career and defiantly not a senior career reason would take.

If you are junior. Take the job and make connections. Build relationships. Stay in communication with recruiters.

Pull the ripcord and get out after 2 years before the place sucks you in.

This question aged well…..

The answer is anywhere but RC. And I mean anywhere. Working for McDonald’s would be more rewarding and superior to the sh*t show that is RC.

Yea it did!!!

The 50% bonus and 20% AVP is a pathetic attempt at getting DM's to stay. It's clear that RC gives zero shits about the field now and is forcing field sales out before the impending re org.

So sad to see this place erode to shambles over the last 2 years. Used to be proud to work for RC, now I'm embarrassed to work for this place.

I interviewed with Ray Schultz the RM in NY and he was a total tool. So glad I bypassed RC. I would never work for a douche like him. His linked in page is narcissistic as could be.
