High turnover rate

Phadia/Thermo reps have a permanent stank following them around. PS if you really think you are going to get bought out bc of those reps "moving business" think again. Test is dated, company has been around for a lifetime and there are too many other ALT companies kicking your ass! Enjoy your 2 year stint, if that. PS recruiting management and RDs from Phadia, even worse idea..let the law suits begin. Same sh*t different company.

I am in lab diagnostics sales and thinking of applying for Atherotech's sales job. Any advice? My company, job and money everything sucks now. What is the estimated base in Chicago area? What does the commission structure look like?

All you Atherotech reps better brush up on Stark Laws. The reps I'm running into are real slime and providers don't trust a damn thing you guys are pitching. Billing write off's bundling tests ect.... Must be a sinking ship in Alabama. Reps look desperate

I am a new hire and the N S M was my first time speaking to others in the company. I feel like this could be a great job but most people I spoke with told me this is a 3 year Max job.....why is that?

Because the management is full of idiots. One has a hard time even spelling the company names. ATH RO TEK. Sound it out very slowly and eventually you will get it.

The high turnover rate at the beginning of the year is nothing compared to what is going on right now. You have to wonder if it is the person, or the company. When it is this many, logic tells you it is the company and the culture. It would be in their best interests to take an inward look as to what is driving the dissatisfaction and leading to so many people leaving. From a Territory Manager's Perspective, the job is truly not that difficult. There are much worse. What has made things so difficult are the management styles, lack of independence to do what we know how to do…and that is grow a territory, and a constant threatening environment. Funny thing is that during the interview process, they say this is the most difficult sales job you will ever have. The only thing making it difficult are the internal management dysfunctions. I sincerely hope that the company and investors do something soon, or they will continue to lose more valuable resources. The VAP+ Test is the best on the market; but you can have the best product with horrible direction and "leadership", and fail as a company. Until the Leadership Team takes a look in the mirror at themselves, they will continue to repeat this cycle and never become the great company that they could truly be.

Because management is incompetent, they pay peanuts for working you to death and you only make bonus if you have a million dollar territory! Not sure why they are so "shocked" the turnover is high.

Sad thing is, they give you next to no time at all to get a territory up and running. If they would have a realistic set of goals, and treat their sales professionals as such, the turnover would be much less.

They seem a little to slow to just recognize this issue and frankly waiting till 2015 to correct. I would like to start to tally on the really good reps that leave between now and the time they actually correct the problem. I would like to take a survey. Whats the greatest problem Atherotech has; pay, leadership, or culture; rank them

It seems that management has made a full time job out of hiring people. The lose people faster than they can fill positions. Damn right the investors should be concerned.
