Hey Tom and BJ....

let's recap the Tom and BJ show since arrival.

- Creation of a power point slide showing their travel across the country/world. Here's an idea, fellas: go to meeting .com The company would have saved thousands and let's be honest, neither of them has great personal impact.

- Authorized Generic, my favorite new term. Nesina offered absolutely nothing new, Takeda's managed market team is the worst in the industry so we were left with slashing the price by 70% and proclaiming the move as bold and innovative. How about weak and desperate.

- SIP to Salary. Peter to Paul. The only thing as lame as the idea was the botched communication.

- The grandaddy of them all: proudly announcing on a conf call that there is a place for everyone in this new structure right after quietly terminating the employment of about a dozen dms and rsds. People talk gentlemen - the cat has long been let out of the bag.

Let's recap the Tom and BJ show.

- Created a power point slide showing their travel across the country/world. Quick suggestion: go to meeting.com It would have saved thousands of dollars and, let's be honest, neither of them is blowing us away with their personal impact.

- Authorized Generic (my favorite new term). So, Nesina offered absolutely nothing new clinically, we didn't have the resources to win share of voice, and our managed markets team is the worst in the industry. What else can you do but slash the price by 70% and call it bold and innovative. How about weak and desperate!

- SIP to Salary. Peter to Paul. The only thing more lame than the idea was the botched communication.

- Proud conference call announcement that "there is a place for everyone in the new structure." Shortly before that, dozens of dms and rsds were let go in addition to the home office cuts. Are they running for office or running a sales force?

Have to agree. Seems like these two are full of you know what.

I'm with you really I am but in all fairness, in regards to the last statement, they always said management and home office was going to be restructured.

I feel the urge to point out the history of this company going all the way back to 2008 is such that when upper management says that they need everyone in field sales and there won't be any layoffs is when they happen. That's the honest truth. Think about it. From the time they announced the merger they said no layoffs. They laid off 18% as soon as it happened. Then they said we were "right sized" and there would be no layoffs. Layoffs came in 2009 and a big layoff in 2010. Now let's look at the last two layoffs. Sizable and occurred shortly after they said no layoffs coming. At least in all those there were great packages. The DM"s that were just let go got much poorer packages then the prior peeps laid off. That's what really scares me. I can handle being cut when I'm going to get 6 months pay, but getting only 3 months. That's going to be tough to explain to the wife :(.

If your wife doesn't like it tell her to get a job.

Ok so "BJ" is new and doesn't KNOW our products but shouldn't he? What is obvious when BJ was hired Takeda knew that Contrave would be gone ASAP. So leave the guy alone.

I haven't talked "scaledown" in the field for months now and I'm killing it with my numbers.
