Here comes Hauser.

This is low hanging fruit.....why would any company invest in a product with no supporting data and limited features. In todays' med tech industry it is vital to have substantial studies with demonstrated reliability #'s.

Is this where we come to try to poke holes in SICD and then go wash our vaginas?

Is this where we come to try to poke holes in SICD and then go wash our vaginas?

Yes. But the holes are so big it's almost no fun to try. So I won't. Go try to sell one. Give me your best line on how you would approach a physician and convice him/her what kind of patient would benefit most from this device. Please....

Hauser is a douche and he hates industry. Ralph Nadar of CRM and is Medtronics "fly boy". Just one of the many but he is rediculous and is loosing credability in his editorials and viewpoints as many dont recall ever asking him what his opinion is or why he feels he should have to represent the educated mass opinion. He definitely does not.

He's not loyal to anyone and is not bought out by any company and that's what makes his points valid. He went to Guidant management and made them aware of their issue. They didn't listen so he called Barry M. He was critical of MDT and he is now engaged with the Durata issues. So far he's batting a 1,000.

We need Watch Dogs like him in this industry to temper the propaganda spewed by companies. You're just upset his views don't favor your company otherwise you wouldn't be on here. Hauser has been able to say, "I told you so" too many times to be discounted as an industry hater.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Poser. Get your facts straight before you post. Your not even close.

I have to agree with you. Hauser is a blow hard that likes to read his own press as he simulates his own agenda. I think everyone is fairly tired of him and the companies just roll their eyes as he has lost all credability in the industry crying wolf when there was no need. If there is a problem, he usually attaches himself to it after the fact to attempts to stay relevant.

Do you think he started this thread?

You are not capable of providing facts or logic to your posts so don't bother coming back until you learn to spell and put up a good fight.

Sorry, I dont find him interesting enough to defend. His actions over the years are the facts and the logic you seek is lost in translation. What real positives have ever come from his original work other than finger point industry. He tries to the the check in "checks and balances" over obvious points that are already known. Dont come back? I never left.

Give him credit, he is batting 1,000 as one poster stated:

2005----he led the charge against Guidant
2007----he published a blistering report on Fidelis ahead of the recall
2012---he has taken the lead on Riata /Durata

He may have a huge ego, but he focuses on what he sees as the biggest quality issues facing the industry.

Your opinion doesn't matter. Anyone who has the ability to alter stock prices and expose the poor reporting of faulty medical devices because the company won't blow the whistle on their own products is a saint and will always be ridiculed. Who knows how many lives he has saved and how many consumers he has educated and how many physicians he has put in the spot light for continuing to use KNOWN faulty products.

I am a rep and have been affected negatively by his reports but I respect and support him as I have never hid behind marketing messaging to poo-poo or blur what is really going on with a faulty product. As I said earlier, right is right and he is still batting 1,000 and if he is reiterating a known problem, he is driving it from a neutral perspective and that's what is key.

If he bores you it's because he's not here to entertain you and he completely expects reactions from greedy reps like you to make dismissing, ignorant statements.

Im not greedy nor ignorant as you suggest but you are entitled to your opinion as I am mine. This gentleman has been involved with some reports that helped get industry in line but he 1) did not do it himself 2) came into the game long after other credible physicians brought their findings forward and 3) Tries to represent all physicians and their views against industry believing he has the majority on his side. He does not and industry has made it clear and known that his witch hunts are as harmful as they are helpful. The FDA is the law where physicians and FDA approved device manufacturers are held responsible for these devices safety and use. If it is dangerous or a bad outcome is reported, the FDA is responsible for managing such. Dr. Hauser likes to write and comment on things after the fact that may or may not be entirely his work. He has an opinion and he knows how to get the NY Times and presses attention by constantly feeding them his opinions as they are usually linked to issues or investigations already in motion. What is your point? You want to give him all the credit for those issues you listed above? Please research your opinion before sharing it so you can appear somewhat in the know. Hauser is like an editorial page with some facts he gathers through his channels. Are they the facts that the FDA (the law) uses to base the same judements? You tell me? Lets just do away with the FDA and put it all on our CRM Med device savior Dr. Hauser to establish and enforce his law? no thank you

So if he's just repeating what is already known, what's your problem with that? You're beating a dead horse and repeating yourself but never finishing your point. Dr. Hauser points out the facts, so what? Where is he wrong? Give me one example and please finish your points. How did the FDA enter into this discussion? You're starting to get off track.
