Hematology Dismantled

It's not just Hem but franchises who have past Hem reps that have moved on to other positions. SJ, RD for instance. Let the Seattle Genetics controlled blood bath begin.

It's just a matter of time before all of the really talented leave. Those are the ones who have great relationships with customers and leaders who have moved on and will be 'picked off' first.

Way to go Mr. Romp. Time to give Genentech a little of their own medicine. The days of Genentech dictating to presrcibers and purchasers is almost over. Genentech is the most hated company in pharmacy circles and this attitude is justified. Genentech does not know what a customer is!!

Reality? Seattle Genetics had the pick of the litter and took the best. The rest either didn't get called for an interview at all, or interviewed and didn't get an offer. Keep trying folks. With layoffs coming do your best to have your interview skills honed and be the one to find a job before the pensioners !

Not true pal. Some were interested but did not leave because Roche will own SGEN sooner than later.
Heard rumors about Glaxo's next project....good luck with that!

Heard about Novartis making biosimilar rituxan. Heard about cms incentivising to use instead of brand with higher reimbursement. Heard about 100% vesting for seagen employees if bought. Heard about roche no longer having espp or stock options. Hear allot.

Let's face it, our territory re-alignments didn't take into account any concerns or considerations of the reps who have to work them! Many territory maps make NO sense, too many miles, strong relationships made over many years have been lost, it sucks. I speak for many, we are now looking!

Well said. The theory made sense, but application nationwide without considering the business impact on a franchise basis made no sense. Result is many territories created from "add on" accounts that most other companies would never make into a territory. The reps who don't leave, happily traveling 2-4 hours each way to see one account in order to cash in on the 'driving for dollars' culture here are selling themselves short in the long run. Once Roche figures out what is going on and puts you in a company car or limits to gas payment only, how will your efforts/relationships add to your value in the eyes of other potential employers-will they be looking for someone who only calls on peripheral customers and stayed to make money on driving? Where is the strategic planning in that approach to business?
