Headcount vs. Revenue













If someone just took the time to dig into what the KAM's actually do and drill down into their senior directors presentations to the management team the lie would be exposed. Sometimes sales teams that have leaders that can SELL what they are doing can pull the wool over inept senior management. I think that may be why the KAM team has survived here.
Winner!!! So true. Those presentations are filled with such BS. I was supporting a KAM on a recent project and helped with a virtual meeting with a customer team. Then I saw the interaction write up and subsequent presentation that was given on the project and it was such a stretch of the truth I had to wonder if they were actually talking about the same customer meeting I attended and same project. The entire KAM division and their leaders are pulling a fast one on executive leadership. Most company's would have already seen through their BS by now but not here. GO KAM's!!!!

I completely agree. My KAM will consistently invent things that may have happened in his mind but never actually happened in the meeting. It’s also amazing how he tries to take credit for things they were in place long before he was even with the company. My KAM is an absolute joke and agree that if corporate really delved into their actual workday and presentations they would all be removed from their positions immediately.
 






Hey Y'all. Jumping in late on this thread. All great points and so true. We really do have some committed and very smart people working here. The one thing I pull out of every post on this thread is GA has to go. Everyone seems to know that except for the only person who counts. Until he gets closer to the truth of the situation GA will continue to be able to use the JR playbook and keep this company from the success it has the potential to achieve.

Row, row, row the boat - the only play GA has to offer, lame.

Add that they make us TBM's do things that take us away from selling to our customers and viola!! That's why everyone is angry. It doesn't help much that we all see how they are stealing from the company but executive leadership team is oblivious. Doesn't instill much confidence.

I think those are some pretty good reasons, don't you?

Very solid assessment. One thing the KAMs do have an impact on is criminal justice channel but that's about it. Is that worth having so many or paying them director level salary? Definate NO! Cut headcount in half and give em criminal justice accounts and major recovery systems. Problem solved.

My kam does absolutely nothing in the criminal justice space EXCEPT take credit for things that the other TBM’s have already established. There needs to be four or five kams at most. One in the Northeast, one in the Southeast, one in the Northwest, one in the Southwest and maybe one Central. Get rid of all the rest. And to be completely honest we don’t even need any of them but if we’re going to keep anything remotely close to this ridiculous position it should be limited to five at most.

Doubt it, bottom 50% and RD wouldn't approve. Read any pharma board, same argument around higher ups. Quit trolling and start developing your career.

LOL, they are hardly higher-ups. They are simply kiss ass who knew how to give good blow jobs to PC in order to get and keep their positions.

You guys are silly. Arguing about KAMs. It’s Todd Nichols that’s needs to go. He is destroying this companies culture. He has gutted the compensation plan to where you get paid like you are in Primary Care. Moral is at an all time low here. He needs to go!

I love how they made their own questions to answer. HYSTERICAL!!! TN and Blair are SO clueless about the real world and how disgusted the sales force is with corporate. And without sales, there is NO corporate.

My Dear Friend, it is not just TBMs who see the lack of need and lack of production of the KAMs, but most everyone in the field organization. Everyone except GA and TN. That's what is so sad. Ongoing joke from TBM's, DBLs, Policy, Trade all the way to our managed care people. It's gotten so ridiculous that when anyone wants to give a little grief to a colleague they say things such as, "You're acting like a KAM", "Don't pull a KAM on me", "You're 10 minutes late for the teleconference, have u been promoted to a KAM?"... That's how bad it had gotten. The longer they keep the KAMs the more silly GA and TN look to all field employees.
 






Please reach out to your recruiter. If you’re so miserable perhaps you’d be happier elsewhere. Typically when we see such cruelty and finger pointing from employees either their leadership is that bad, or they simply aren’t performing and need to blame others. Or, perhaps they’ve been talked to about their performance. Since you’re attacking so many, it seems you’re just miserable. Find a place you’re happier. The patient populations this company serves do not need hateful employees who are more focused on complaining than bringing our products to them. This company is better than these posts. Our Leadership overall is good. Whoever you are please seek help.
