Having Amgen on your resume is a curse!

Were you fired, managed out, or leave for better offer? Honestly...

This is wrong. I left AMGN and was hired by DNA.

Amgen does help the resume, they don't want you..not Amgen. The company is recognized for the amount of training it delivers and is considered a good company to work for. I didn't have any issues finding the next job. I would have no issues hiring someone from Amgen. Except for those who complain like this. Every company has its push and pull factors.

Oh Hired by DNA..another has been biotech that used to be great and now is as big pharma as it gets! Have fune.

BINGO...

Please Amgen, DNA. Used to work for Amgen, and know many at DNA. Both these places are quintessential big pharma. Might as well work for Pfizer or Merck of the 90's. Nice place to start, not a great place to end....

Oh, and by the way, having Amgen on your resume is not a curse, just make it work for you and sell yourself.

ENJOY...

It's funny reading CP. Currently a Merck employee. You can literally replace the word Amgen with Merck in every one of these posts. Sad, was looking for a nice place to land. Oh well there's still king crab fishing!

Most of the boards read the same. It could mean a few things- complaining people use CafePharma, large companies all suffer the same issues, the same people post on all the boards, the pharma industry is in a world of hurt.

I do notice a few companies with happier employees and more articulate employees. Amgen seems to have a good share of people who can't spell, use a comma, or review their own write ups well. And lots of complaining using fowl language and silly sounding complaints and topics discussed.

Really? You make those claims and then "write up" that? That last sentence can't even qualify as a topics discussed. How about some subjects and verbs, or at least a few commas in your sentence fragment.

Seriously, I get what you are saying, but couldn't resist the shot since you set the standard and then blew it.

You know, that is so true. Thank you. Too funny.

Oops, forgot to use complete sentences.

Or maybe, just maybe, hmmmm....it was on purpose to be funny. Joke's (and Jokes) on you.
