Yes jan 2nd is a National Holiday just as dec26th is. If you take the time to check all gov't, banks, and other companies are off except the retail businesses.

many accounts already told me that they are closed and will open the 3rd.

I don't know where some of you got your info but it is a National Holiday day off! maybe not for Novartis sake.
 






I appreciate the week off and can see the point that we did just get 5 days off. But there will be no one to call on in my territory. All will be closed. I guess I will just drive around aimlessly like any other day!

The Post Office is closed. My bank is closed. My kids are out of school and most of my offices are closed........I'll clean out my company car and dispose of a lot of marketing trash and call it a work day. Then it's off to lunch and a movie with my kids!

Are you on another planet? All pharma cos are off. It's a national holiday moron. Banks, govt offices, I do not know of any office that are open. Idiot.
 






Shut up already.... take the day off or dont work. I'm just as annoyed with this company as everyone else and plan to be unemployed in the new future... but really this is what your complaining about. How many of your friends and family have the week off between xmas and new years like we do? Also, my kids go to a public school and have school on the 2nd. Its not a universal holiday. The post office and banks also have off other days of the year that we work. Seriously stop taking up space on this board with this topic and lets move on to whether we are going to be laid off in Feb or Mar and how they are going to determine which 65% of us go.

So what do you tell your kids? Do you lie and tell them that daddy or mommy had off today, or do you tell them the sorry miserable truth, that you are a lazy asshole that is skipping work because your unfair company is making you work that day. Do you whine to them too, like a little kid and complain that you aren't getting what you want, wah wah. Grow the hell up. Do you want me to change your diaper and give you a bottle while we are at it. Glad I am not your child. If most of your offices are closed then go to the ones that are open. Dip shit.
